Boom Bay is one of the best bars in the state. The staff is friendly and attentive, the drinks are cold and well priced. Everytime I come here I’m happy. Learned how to play towers and played too much bonus hole. The tabs machine must be broken because I didn’t win.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled. This bar/restaurant donated a gift card for a benefit, which was greatly appreciated at the time. However, when I went to redeem it, I was told they would not honor it because the business had been sold 5 weeks after the gift card was issued.
There was no prior communication about the gift card becoming invalid, and I drove out of my way specifically to use it—only to waste time and gas. If a business donates something for a charitable benefit, it should be honored or clearly communicated otherwise. This experience left a very bad impression

Update !! Perch and shrimp were both perfect. $4 Friday old fashioned. Great burgers and pizza. Newly expanded with more seating and area for live bands. Employees are hard working and owners are always around. Located on the water.

**Update and reply to owner’s cooment of “People can’t read your mind, but hey that is probably for the best” – Real classy. Regarding the mushrooms, they were not good at all. You might want to teach the cook about seasoning things IF they ever “fresh”**
I traveled from Appleton to Boom Bay Bar & Grill on a Tuesday at 7 and was very disappointed. When I got into the bar, the bartender did not acknowledge me for 20 minutes. He took drink orders for a family of three and proceeded to make the drinks. He then took their food order and slowly entered it into the computer. Meanwhile, two women come into the bar and the bartender proceeds to do the same thing all the while acting like I am a ghost. He did finally take my order and was very nice after that.
I read that the Mushroom and Swiss Burgers is so great which is not the case. They use canned mushrooms that they didn’t season. The fries seemed like they were made 2 hours ago. Very stale. The burger was seasoned well though.
I Actually tried to call 6 times to request a carry out order on my first trip (I drove to the bar nearly twice). The first call, the bartender answered, placed me on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up. 2nd call-v/m. 3rd call-Can’t hear me. 4-6 calls-v/m. Had to turn around to pick up my wife from work. See above for second trip.

I’ve been here several times, and I must say that the food is consistently delicious, with a great selection of dishes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is generally friendly, which adds to the overall experience.
However, I had a concerning encounter during my most recent visit. A new female bartender was unexpectedly rude and made some inappropriate comments to other customers, which I found quite disturbing. Additionally, the use of profanity was very unprofessional and detracted from what is normally a pleasant environment.
Despite this issue, I still recommend coming here for dinner, as the food and overall vibe are truly worth it. Hopefully, the management addresses the bartender’s behavior to ensure a better experience for everyone in the future.

I love this place. Zeck is by far the most attentive bartender I’ve run into. There are a lot of good bartenders around but he is very personable and works hard to make sure you have a drink at all times.
