Waiter was nice, served a family that came after us first before we even got our drinks.

But polite and kind.

As for the food. Damn. The only thing southern about the southern chicken sandwich was that I was eating it in Arizona, just check the photos.

Bland. No spice, no flavour,

As for the steak, grease central, tough chew.

Go to McDonald’s for a chicken burger.

We had a hard time eating here. We made sure we prayed over our meal!

Female server was very nice, but didn’t follow through. She had the male server do it for her. Male server was disgusting. When we asked the female for a straw, she had the male do it for her. He brought us an UNWRAPPED straw out, sat it on the table. I asked him to bring me a different one that wasn’t laid on the table, he brought another three and sat them on the table. At that point, I gave up on getting a straw. I watched him take and handle dirty money from a customer, not wash his hands then grab an unwrapped straw for another customer. From here on, I wondered what might be going on in the kitchen that we couldn’t see.

The food was bland and dry. No chili was offered for the dry burrito, when we finally got some, we had to smother the dry burrito with it. Still not good. Fajita burrito.. steak was tough and mostly stuffed with bell peppers.
Just was not a fan of this place! Over priced for the bland food we received.

Would not recommend, and will NOT be coming back.

Here’s my tip:
Spice up your food, put sauce in your dry burrito, offer chili with your bland Mexican food, and start being aware of how many germs are on money and a table top.

Nice and clean small town joint. Food was okay. The very young waitresses were very friendly and filled the coffee cup 4times before our food was served (it took a while to make). We ordered the chilaquiles and the lumberjack combo. Rehydrated boxed hash browns, and very diluted coffee, but the chilaquiles were delicious. I think the kitchen had just ran out of pancake batter just as they were making our lumberjack combo. Or maybe they use a very small pan to make their pancakes. Or maybe the lumberjacks in this area are on a restricted diet? But all of the pancakes going to the other tables around us were big enough to fit to the edges of the same-sized plate. Charming decor and clean, nice waitresses, but the food was just ‘okay.’

I came for lunch and was immediately greeted by the server. He told me that the special was Birria Tacos, Rice and Beans and that’s what I ordered. As I waited, the server brought me chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was cold, but it definitely tasted good! My lunch came out quickly and it was hot! The Birria Tacos were outstanding. . .especially with the au jus. The shell was perfectly firm and the beef was cooked to perfection! The rice and beans were serviceable and complemented the tacos well. Be sure to stop at Booga Red’s for a meal in Springerville!

About as hometown comfort as you can get. Staff and patrons are super friendly and the breakfast tastes like your mama made it. The bacon tastes smoky and fried (like bacon should!) The prices are very reasonable, and if you stay at the motel across the street, you get a 10% discount on your food.

Great Hatch Chile salsa w/chips, but just average tasting Mexican food (bland rice). The service was friendly (young & inattentive) and the prices were good. Had lunch on a busy, touristy weekday (most tables were full w/locals) so be patient.

Service and the food were amazing! The Green chili is out of this world and I don’t even want to know if the salsa is a jar or can because it is so tasty and fresh it must be homemade. The serving size is big enough to enjoy there and have some left over for home. The Ranch dressing is by far the best I’ve ever had. We’re only traveling through but I would without a doubt eat here all the time if I lived in the area. Sorry no photos of the food, we were so hungry and the food was too yummy to stop and take photos! If you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs up and check out our other reviews as we travel this beautiful country!

Very friendly waitress. Chips, food, and drink took a while to come out.

Cameron rojo enchiladas were very good. Chips and salsa were not memorable other than that the salsa came in a throwaway ramekin that most of the chips wouldn’t fit in without breaking. Jalapeno margarita (strawberry) wasn’t bad but not as big as I was hoping for. Prickly pear lemonade was good also.

I’m not sure I would go so far as to call this a Mexican restaurant, maybe more tex mex (they had one page of Mexican stuff and one of American dishes.

Also, it is connected with Tequila Red, so you can get all of this food there or all of their drinks here.

Overpriced. The menu is confusing. Be aware there is a difference between a side of fried mushrooms and a fried mushroom appetizer.
$18 for a fried mushroom appetizer. I was shocked when I got my receipt and asked the bartender if I was charged for the combo appetizer plate and was told no this is how much they are for an appetizer size.
Didn’t even get plates or napkins for the appetizer. Had to ask for napkins.
$1.95 for a side of sour cream which was like a tablespoon.
Then a 4% credit card fee and was not made aware of prior to using my credit card.
I get prices of food are high. But when you can eat for much less at other restaurants in town, really makes you question going back.
The food was good and salsa was nice and spicy. Friendly service.

The food was below average. I wish the ambience was more inviting. I really like the concept, but I think a fresh coat of paint, brighter lighting and good old-fashioned cleaning would enhance the overall experience. With some improvements on the menu and tweaking the recipes, this place definitely has a lot of potential..
