I found Bonjour Bakery & Cafe on Falls Road through TikTok — the viral mousse desserts are real, and yes, people are right about getting there early because they sell out fast.
We arrived about 45 minutes before opening (the day after a snow) and were the second customers. Since they were still setting up, we were told it would be about a 20-minute wait for a few mousse flavors… which turned into 30 minutes… and then ultimately about two hours before we received all the flavors we wanted.
That said, the bakery is super cute and quaint, with a cozy vibe, pretty decor, friendly staff, and a nice variety beyond the mousse desserts (croissants, pastries, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, coffee/lattes, and seating).
My main feedback is around the breakfast sandwich heating. The pastry was hot, but the egg and bacon inside was still frozen, even after reheating. It improved after microwaving, but it still wasn’t great — and my coffee was lukewarm. A better warming process (and hotter coffee) would go a long way, especially during the morning rush.
Overall, I’d absolutely return because there are mousse flavors I really liked and others I still want to try. If you’re curious about the TikTok-viral mousse desserts, it’s worth a visit — just plan ahead and be patient.

I got here on a Saturday around 11 am and surprisingly everything was still in stock pretty much. I was expecting a long line due to the virality of the fruit shaped pastries. I got the chocolate mousse ($6) and the mango mousse ($12) and was surprised that the mango was literally double the price of the chocolate mousse! I also got a matcha latte, which I don’t recommend because it wasn’t good quality of matcha. Service was fast but not the best. It seemed like there were attitudes if you didn’t know immediately what you wanted. It put off my partner who was still deciding and ultimately decided not to get anything. The actual taste of the pastries—nothing to write home about. Good but not all that. Don’t think it’s worth $12. Small seating area and decent parking. All in all, try it for yourself and see, especially if it’s not out of the way for you.

Nice local bakery with amazing desserts and treats!
I enjoy their Mozart, short cake and almost every kind of small cakes. It’s a great choice for party desserts and birthday get together.

This flourless chocolate cake is recommended. It’s been a week and I’m still reminiscing. We tried some savory pastries as well and they were also delicious. Rustic location; parking difficult but worth the effort.

Service was great and fast! The almond croissant was so flaky and fresh. Much better than most cafes in the area for pastries. Latte was great.

A very cute café nestled right along Falls Rd. I ordered online and picked-up – they made my latte upon arrival which was great. The pastries are fresh and taste absolutely phenomenal. Also, customer service was excellent. I will be a returning customer, highly recommend!

Their fruit mousse cakes are absolutely delicious. Subtle flavors that feel light and airy in your mouth. I drive over an hour there and back just to get them!

Just visited Bonjour Bakery, the pistachio bomb & almond croissant delicious. The fruit tart, all fruit bitter, the cream not better than Bavarian as it had little flavor but the tart crust was delicious excellent crunch and flavor. Now for the fruit mousse cakes, that don’t match their price. They look beautiful but the outer layer has a crunch but flavorless, the cake portion extremely dry, the mouse fillings pretty good. In ranking order 1. Pear, 2. Mango 3. Raspberry 4. Strawberry pistachio. Which has a granola base (pretty good) the pistachio mouse very nutty with no sweetness, over I feel cheated. I spent almost $80 for a great almond croissant and pistachio eclair. Everything else they could have kept. Probably will never go again, but if I do my only purchase will be croissants. So 10 for presentation & creativity but 5 for flavor delivery.

I just love this sweet little local place. Today my husband and I stopped in quickly to pick up a gift. The woman working 9am Tuesday 10/14… should have gotten her name… literally brightened my day.. as soon as I opened the door she smiled and said hi. I drove out of my way to purchase because the food is consistently excellent, and for the great quality the prices are fair. Hands down this is my favorite place on the falls road corridor. A few years back I happened to chat briefly with the owner who was equally as lovely. I wish it was bigger with more seating… but if it was it might lose the cute vibe. We got our order to go… the hubs was in a rush… I would have stayed… thanks for the friendly welcome that accompanied great food and service… lastly if you read this for SHOP LOCAL!!!
