Christine is an absolute asset to the Bonifay Country Club! She was quick to welcome us, take our order and delivered with a smile. Christine is personable and made our visit 5 star! The food is fabulous, compliments to the chef. The ambiance is beautiful! Five star all the way!!!

Stopped in for a few cocktails and a late lunch. Christine waited on us at the bar. Excellent service and superb food. My husband has the turkey dinner and I had the shrimp salad. Highly recommend!

I ordered the scallops and they were delicious. Scallops are sensitive and if cooked too long they are like chewing gum. These we tasty and cooked to perfection. Our waitress Chis was also great. She was attentive and friendly. I’ll be be going back for the scallops and Chris. My wife was also pleased with her meal and Chris.

I was so excited to try this newly renovated restaurant with my family, but it was a disappointment. We had a 7 PM reservation on 11/26.
1. The hostess was not welcoming at all. She looked annoyed that she had to deal with us.
2. The server did not come to ask for our drink order for 10 minutes, and then it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks.
3. The server never asked us if we’d like our drinks refilled or if we wanted another beverage.
4. It took us 40 minutes to get our food and nothing else was provided for the table. Not even bread and butter. The server did not check on us even once during this time.
5. A minute before the food arrived, the server came to tell us that one of the major ingredients from a meal we ordered was not available and asked if we’d like a replacement option. Considering the other food was on its way out, what could we possibly order to be served at the same time? He told us “they” did not let him know this was the case until just now. We declined the replacement option. There was no apology, no offer to make our experience better – nothing.
6. When the meal was over, we once again had to flag our server down just to ask for the bill. It took us another 10-15 minutes just to find him.
For a country club restaurant, this was a disappointing experience from beginning to end. The restaurant was not busy and there were plenty of servers. It was just bad service. Not once did I see a manager on site and when I looked for someone at the front reception to ask for a manager, there was no one to be found.
I would not recommend this restaurant.

We came here for brunch as I saw they had shrimp and we had a craving for them. Unfortunately, these were about the worst shrimp I’ve ever had because they were covered in some kind of thick slime that made them so slippery they were difficult to peel. It was like a thick mucus and I have no clue what it was but I definitely do not recommend ordering them. I lived at the ocean for a few years and have eaten shrimp hundreds of times and have no clue what they did to make them slimy like this. They did not taste like they were old or had turned or anything like that, but the flavor didn’t even taste like shrimp or old bay which the menu said they were boiled in, and just kind of had some sort of mild spice flavor and that was it. We sat on the patio and the atmosphere and scenery was great, but the service was not. We sat there with empty beer glasses and then apparently a shift changed happened and once the other girl came around we just told her we would take the check and go somewhere else as we were waiting on two other people to get there. As soon as they arrived we all left and went elsewhere. I will try this place again in the future when we come back to visit as it is across the road from our family members’ house, but I definitely will not be ordering the shrimp and will hope that the shift change is the reason for the beat lack of attention and having to go find our own server.

The dining area was impeccable, with a menu that delighted every palate. Making the experience even more exceptional was our server, Christine. Her radiant smile and attentive service elevated our meal to another level. Christine anticipated our every need, offered spot-on recommendations, and ensured our glasses were never empty, all with genuine warmth and professionalism. She’s a true asset to the club! We can’t wait to return to Bonifay and will definitely request Christine’s section. Thank you for an outstanding visit!
