I decided to try this place after seeing a recommendation. While I always enjoy exploring new burger spots, I have to say that my favorite burger is still In-N-Out, especially when factoring in cost.
I arrived early and was the first customer of the day, which gave me the opportunity to observe how the restaurant prepared their food. One thing that stood out to me—but not in a good way—was how they handled the grilled onions and bacon. Rather than cooking fresh ingredients in the morning, they simply reheated leftover onions and bacon from the previous day and used them for my burger. That was disappointing because I expected everything to be freshly prepared, especially for the first order of the day.
That said, there were some positives. The onion rings were excellent—crispy, and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed them. The burger itself was just okay. One detail I found odd was the cheese. Instead of a traditional slice of cheese, they sprinkled cheese particles on the patty, which didn’t quite give the same melt-in-your-mouth experience.
As for the drink, the Coke (Pepsi) was fine—nothing to complain about, but nothing remarkable either.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

I got the double cheeseburger and fries.
It was made fresh to order with sizable portion of fries and packaged neatly with little to no mess unwrapping it all. The location is great and central to a lot of other options but im glad I made my way here. Next time I want to try the Persian burger!
The girl at the counter was really nice too!

This restaurant serves delicious burgers, but the seating and table arrangements need improvement. The décor felt unprofessional, and it wasn’t very comfortable to sit there. Tables are placed too close to the trash bins, which is neither hygienic nor pleasant for guests.
The restroom was acceptable, but it lacked touchless faucets and had no napkins or paper towels for drying hands. It would also be better if the bathroom door opened outward or had a touch-free option, since the current knob was difficult to open and not very sanitary.
Overall, the food was great, but the dining environment and restroom setup could be improved for a better customer experience

Hadn’t been to Bongo Burger in many years but I am glad that I returned. The restaurant was very clean and I was welcomed in by a lovely lady. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and split a Persian Burger with my brother. WOW the burger really surprised me. It never clicked with me before but the Char Broiled flavor they achieve with burger patty is incredible. There are other burger spots that have varying degrees of charbroil taste, but the trade-off is typically low quality meat. That was not the case here. I could taste the quality of the meat in addition to the great Char Broil taste. The Persian burger was very unique. It was not like a traditional, plain burger but it was seasoned to perfection. Bongo Burger is going to be my go-to to fulfill my Char Broiled Dreams.

Omg I’m from the Bay Area and no lie one of the best crispy chicken sandwich I ever had!!! If anyone comes here it’s a must try. On top I got the Persian burger and it’s something like I never tasted loaded with no much flavor and juicy. And the all American classic bacon burger was fire . All there food there was the best. This is my new To go spot.

It’s alright but it’s not good enough for a takeout single patty cheeseburger with fries to be worth $17 before tax.

My first time there I watched the waiter/cashier/cook take my order ring me up.Then go put my burger patty on the grill. He came back give me my receipt while the other cook flipped my burger and the first cook took another order. Then he made their patty by putting his fingertips in it to tenderize them and put them on the grill. Then came back to make my bun.all with out changing his gloves. He put raw burger he touch on the bun he was making for me.

Possibly the best halal burger I’ve ever had. Today I had the chicken sandwich and I can’t even begin to explain how amazing it was! Service is the best and the owner is a major sweetheart!

Don’t bother. Felafel is ok but pita was dry with almost no hummus and lettuce was brown and extremely bitter. Not worth the price. Doesn’t taste fresh. Dry and bland. Two tiny slices of tomato.

This place is as great as it was when I first came here in 1985. Different owners but they have kept the same tasty recipes and methods and turn out amazingly flavorful food.
