I wish I could give this place more stars… It is one of the best restaurants in Birmingham and definitely the best Italian in Birmingham.
Food is delicious. Fresh. And well prepared.
Staff is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly.
Prices here are better than going to one of the chain restaurants… And you get much better quality food.

Really enjoyed Bongiorno. Quiet and quaint dining. Restaurant is smaller, but it adds to the atmosphere. Tried the lasagna, very good! The bread was delicious- served warm. Service was excellent – accommodated our larger group with reservations made ahead of time.

I work for a highly respected law firm in Birmingham and we had the BEST catering experience from Bongiorno’s last night. Tiz was incredible and owner, Ozzie, even came to help create a perfect evening. Quality food, quality service, and the best feeling of supporting a family-owned restaurant!

Overall a nice dinner. The mushroom appetizer was the star of the night.
Good wine list. Many options to please everyone.

Food was good but a table of drunk people were so loud and it took almost an hour to get our food. Won’t be going back.

A great evening.
First off, server was so great. She was extremely helpful, answering questions and offering suggestions. The bread and oil/balsamic vinegar brought to the table were really good.
We ordered chicken parmagiana and shrimp scampi for dinner (plus wine). Both were good. I did add some salt to the pasta and red sauce (chicken parm), but otherwise was great. Scampi turned out well, even with a requested substitution (shallots for garlic in sauce).
For dessert, we ordered tiramisu and a chocolate cannoli. Both were excellent. Tiramisu was not as tall, but was cut longer. Delicious. Cannoli was on point.
Atmosphere is nice. It’s quaint and small, but at the same time it was cozy. Was not busy, and kitchen didn’t take a long time to get the food to the table.
All in all, it was a good experience.

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant. It is not a quick dine so bring your conversation. Enjoy the meal and your companions. It is not fast food. It was cooked and presented with time and care. The best dining experience I have had in a long time. Oh..and the bread…the best I have had since Italy.

From my family to yours, you have to try Bongiornos. The family had the mozzarella bread and bruchetta for starters. Main course’s were chicken alfredo, Viel Lorenzo, and the kiddos shared a pizza (They filled up on the bread and Bruchetta). For desert, we tried the chocolate cake and terimisu. When I say everything was perfect and tasted phenomenal it truly is an understatement. Everything is made fresh to order. Atmosphere, food, and staff were A+++ Zero complaints at all. Absolutely loved our night and truly thankful to everyone that made it possible! Much love for everyone at this restaurant and hope to see it successful for many more years to come. Thank you to Tiz the most!!!
