Went on February 14 was very disappointed with portion size and cold food.Had reservation for 715 pm,was seated about 720.Food came to table about 820 pm.First confusion with bringing the wrong plates(food was someone’s else food) Ask to speak to manager on duty Aaron.who came over to table.I informed that food was taken a least an hour.He then asked did we want another $15 drank? He would check on the food.I stated only if you can discount the second drank?He totally Ignored that request.He the went over two tables started a 20 minute conversation with a couple.Meanwhile the table to left received their food.I had been at my table first and ordered first.I only ordered fish 2 plates. FOOD CAME COLD LIKE IT HAD BEEN SEATING IN BACK FORGOTTEN ABOUT.Got the $112.00 bill with two drinks added with no discount. I will not be given bonefish grille any more business.My business will be going to a private establishment Squids seafood restaurant in Chapel Hill.Please bonefish train your managers to care about the customers experience.All he wanted wad an add on for another $15 drank.Also your portions are shrunkflation

Service was excellent! Our server was Brandon and he was so attentive and patient with us, yet helpful with giving suggestions. Food tasted great! But there was a small curly fine piece of hair in my broccoli. I brought this to the attention of our server at the end of the meal because I had eaten 95% of my dish already. And it wasn’t to get money off because the table right next to us had just complained about hair and their food as well. I’m leaving this in my review to bring light to the fact that I hope management takes this seriously and retrains the kitchen staff, because it seems as though there are some food safety practices that are being left to the wayside and possibly some ServSafe refresher courses are in order.

The food is amazing. Serving sizes were great as well as the taste. To start off, the bang bang shrimp tacos had an immense blend of flavors while also having a bit of freshness. The tacos are pretty heavy so serving 3 with how much they stuff them with is definitely worth it. The shrimp salad featured 5 wood fired grilled deveined shrimp which carried great flavor as well as the fresh salad mixed with a vinaigrette. The fish and chips were fried perfectly and were flaky while the salmon was not fishy and cooked perfectly as well. The key like cake was rich but also tasted like a pie. I would rate 5 stars but our server Sarah would take a while to check up on us as well as would leave midway through a conversation. I’m not sure if this was intentional but we also received the wrong check. Other than that I recommend

Updated 1/20/26 I visited BoneFish with my friend for lunch. Nicole,our server, was amazing, so polite and personable. We enjoyed the lunch special (nice they brought lunch menu back) and ordered the chowder soup, blackened fish tacos, Bang Bang tacos with sweet tea. They have martini’s for $5 on Monday and I had the blueberry lemon drop, my favorite drink.

I dined in at Bonefish on Sunday and my server, Chelsea was the best. She was so kind and very attentive. The manager also asked how I was doing which was nice. I ordered the bourbon salmon, mash potatoes and asparagus. The salmon was little a more overcooked than I’m use to. I ordered take home meal and the salmon portion was noticeably smaller so will likely only eat in for the future. The bread is always enjoyable.
On prior visits, I’ve had their bang bang shrimp (my favorite), blue lemon drop martini, their calamari at a different location which were all fantastic. They also temporarily stopped serving lunch but see they have added it back.

Food was good and service friendly, and it was our first time dining at a Bonefish Grill. But disturbed, frankly, b/c not an hour after walking in ourselves, I overheard an African American pair (mother/daughter) being told they weren’t taking walk-ins at present. So, at a minimum, make a reservation I guess?

Normally, we have a good experience with Bonefish. Unfortunately, the Durham location will not ever get my business again.
No, I didn’t say anything to management because we had traveled all day & had to return to the Secu house for a surgery the next morning. We just wanted food before a surgery.
I will save my money for a place that can make sure the food was actually cooked all the way through. Under cooked rice, under cooked steak, and under cooked potatoes. And the salad I had to pick through because the turned lettuce was hidden under a handful of semi ok lettuce.
The waitress was great! She asked if we needed stuff throughout the whole meal. We was just too tired to deal with the manager over the food. But I will just go elsewhere next time.
Don’t recommend eating here unless they learn to cook the food correctly. Even the table behind us got the wrong food. And the gentleman that had his dish wrong liked the mistake. But they told the waitress and after she talked to her manager he had to pay the actual meal price (which was higher than what he ordered). That to me was absolutely crazy when they made/gave him the wrong ordered food. Their mistake is their problem!

Over all it was a great experience, it was busy but Stacy our server was great and host Karen was very helpful and friendly. They did a great job helping each other and smiling through the craziness . Not to mention the food was great!! We will be back! Thank you Stacy and Karen you girls are awesome
