I visited Bonchon Springfield for lunch on Tuesday and took advantage of their $1 wings special on Mondays and Tuesdays. I ordered the wings and a MoPo corndog. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. The ambiance is casual with TVs and concrete floors. The wings were tasty and crispy. I was disappointed that the MoPo corndog did not have a hot dog inside, but that was my fault for not reading the description. Overall, it was a good experience and I would come back for the wings.

Amazing food. Wings are phenomenal. Bao is on point. Bulgogi is delish. Love their donut dessert!

(Update/edit) WARNING! I do not recommend eating here. We ordered the takoyaki and after taking one bite, it was cold like it was still frozen. We informed our waiter who was great and went to grab the assistant manager, Cody. When Cody came to the table he offered to cook us another order but we declined and asked if he could just take it back and not pay for it. He told us unfortunately you have to pay for it and was going to leave the uncooked food at our table. If I were you I would not recommend eating here for the possibility of the staff knowingly serving under or uncooked food.

Delicious! Never had Korean Fried Chicken before and decided to try it out. The chicken was crunchy and coated in sauce very well. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. They have $1 wing deals on certain days of the week and also a happy hour.

My dining experience at bonchon was a 10/10. Metin and Nick were especially helpful making sure me and my friend were taken care of. The food was delicious and the music matched the restaurant atmosphere perfectly. I will definitely be coming back!

The other day, me and my husband explored a new Korean restaurant called Bonchon. We ordered two items: Chicken Katsu and Udon Noodle Soup.

Unfortunately, the Chicken Katsu didn’t impress us. It looked nice, but the inside wasn’t juicy or flavorful ,just very regular and lacked the richness we expected. The Udon Noodle Soup was also quite average, with a simple broth and nothing that really stood out.

The place had a clean and casual vibe, and the service was okay, but overall, the food didn’t meet our expectations. If you’re craving bold Korean flavors, this might not be the first place to check out.

A friend decided this was the best place to try Korean Fried Chicken for the first time. She had the Mixed Lunch Special ($14.99) with Pickled Radish. Another friend had the Corn Dog ($4.99), which was nice and crunchy, but had no dog or corn, just mozzarella in a potato crust. Seasoned fries were $7.99. I had the Chicken Sandwich ($13.99) with fries. No room for dessert. No problem getting the volume lowered on the background music.

So, I’ve actually been to Korea, and Bon Chon’s chicken is just as authentic.
So I’ve eaten Bon Chon, but this was my first time ever sitting down and eating at the restaurant. Boy, if you ever get a chance take some time and eat the food fresh. They even offer dipping sauces. I never knew.
The atmosphere and service at the Springfield location was top notch. My daughter and I had a wonderful time.

The restaurant appeared to be clean. Service was good, but the employees could learn to smile. The hot chicken wings were HOT! I was able to tolerate 2 and gave the other 2 to my friend who can eat extremely hot! The pork belly buns were ok, with no flavor. I will stick with the ginger garlic wings next time… yummmm.
