I am a regular Bonchon customer. We order atleast once every month, sometimes twice from Reston location nearest to our address & some Maryland locations every once in a while when visiting friends there. For Thanksgiving this year, we ordered 16 pieces of drumsticks for the family get-together. For the first time ever as a Bonchon customer, I’ve been very disappointed with the order I received. The size of the drumsticks are the size of the wings. Complete ripoff. We order Bonchon regularly enough to know the size difference between wings and drumsticks. The drumsticks we have gotten in the past take two boxes to accommodate all 16 pieces, today, I got 20 wings in a single box. Instead of receiving the 16 drumsticks I ordered, we were given 20 wings upon delivery. I immediately called the location and the gentleman on the phone had said that “Corporate has reduced the size of their drumsticks, that is why we gave you 20 pieces.” This is ridiculous, I did not get what I paid for and how embarrassing would it be to return my order I got for Thanksgiving family dinner. Worst of all, they charged me the full price of 16 drumsticks. I’ve attached the pricing of drumsticks and wings in the images. Only ordering from Reston location from now on, wish they weren’t closed today but unfortunately they were and I had given this alternate location a try. The drumsticks are normally in 16 piece quantity is so large that it takes normally 2 boxes to accommodate. This time our 20 wings, came in a single box. This is a ripoff. Never ordering here again.

Wings were crispy, divine, and have the best presentation I’ve seen. Tried all sauces and my favorite is the orange, which went killer with the chicken. Potstickers were sweet and sticky and went well with the barbecue sauce. The fries were seasoned to perfection, and the Milkis beverage was top tier with the meal. The donuts have a right amount of cinnamon and crunch, the icing brings out the favor excellently. The servers were very polite and kind, even during closing. Server was courteous to let us know the good may take a little longer, but it was well worth it because it was the best Korean style wings I’ve had since coming home from New York.

Absolutely amazing food. The service was amazing. Just know it may take up to 20 minutes MAX for food to show up, but it’s worth the wait! For what it is, it’s surprisingly cheap for how much food you get. 10/10 will go again.

Went here last night for dinner, ordered 8 pc wings and 8 pc strips. The strips were so bad, it was just a thin piece of chicken breast smothered in batter for $16. Same thing with the wings, small wings mediocre flavoring and smothered in old batter. Also the bathroom was so gross, the floors stuck to my shoes like glue. Not sure when the last time they cleaned the place.

I ordered wings and fries today with the pickled radishes. The flavor was good but the chicken was old and dry and a turn off bc I hate to see cooked blood/ vein in all of the drumsticks , wasn’t cleaned well.

I frequent the card shop next door and usually decide against eating out due to the lack of nearby options and not wanting the eat the frozen food sold at the store. However, with the opening of the Bonchon here, there is finally an affordable and savory meal. Although it’s mostly chicken and some Korean sides, there appears to be an expanded menu of Korean dishes like Bulgogi Baos and fusion dishes like corn dogs. The soy garlic was everything I expected and the fries were crispy as always. However, this 5 star review is really for the manager, Glory. He was friendly, warm, and open about the stores had under previous management. He was a great face for the store and even gave us an order of the Korean donuts to try something from the new menu. The store itself is still very empty, with a small TV and ample seating. But, I am sure that with time, the store will grow into its own. This was a wonderful visit and I will definitely be returning.

Update 02/09/25 — I reached out and still no response. Customer service is bad on following up as well.
Original – Went on my lunch break. Nobody at the front then they came out. Guy was nice. Put order in they said it’d be about 5 to 7 minutes I said okay I’ll be back. I went to the grocery store next door at least 12-15 min. I come back to pick up my food…I don’t get it until about 6 to 8 minutes later. I don’t check the food because I have to get back to work. I make it back to the office to enjoy my food the kimchi was better than expected but the chicken was over cooked and dry. The sauce was dry. You had to put in effort to bite into it. See the pictures yourself. Very disappointed.

Place is small and the service is quick. The french fries are great with the spicy mayo they serve. I got the 10 piece chicken strip meal, half regular and half spicy. The spicy is burn your mouth hot; at least for me it was. The regular was good. They do serve the food with radish, just like in Korea. Also just like in Korea, the servers only come by when you ask for assistance. The portions are huge and be sure to check the wall for specials, I didn’t and ended up paying over $20 for lunch that I couldn’t finish when they offer a lunch special for half the price.
