bulgogi fries were THE MOMENT. so yum. we shared family style so it was pretty cheap and also filled us up! soy garlic wings were great, they had a really good crunch to it. the hot flavor was meh. corn cheese was also good but let’s be real the bulgogi fries really did it for me

Will always pick this location over Hackensack. They actually sauce the whole wing here. -1 atmosphere for being in a spot with terrible parking/traffic

Good chicken but portions are a little smaller than I am used to at other places. Wasn’t given fries (even though they are included work the meal) due to poor customer service or language barrier. If you go be sure to confirm what you order and double check it when you get it.

*** UPDATE FEB 2020 ***
we had a big problem last visit.. this place is under new management.. when we walked in, a customer was at the counter complaining that his credit card was double charged for his meal. The prices here are kind of high, so he noticed right away when his credit card was double charged. After we paid, about an hour later we found out that we were double charged too on our credit card bill!

So beware of ordering any food here unless you pay cash. I dont know if this double charging is intentional like they are trying to get away with it, or if it is accidental and just happened to 2 customers in a row? Not sure.. but thankfully there are other Bonchons in the area, under different management, including one thats opening soon in Hackensack. So we will be visiting other Bonchons from now on. No need to go through the hassle of dealing with the new manager and the bank for constant double charges. Hopefully they will fix this problem.

Pros:
Yumny good chicken.
Good rice.
About 5 large tables, so good seating.
Clean dining room.

Cons:
A little Expensive$12 for just a few pieces of chicken.
Few menu items to pick from.
Sweet chicken is not on the menu, you have to ask for it.
Could use more drink options too. I suggest Joes brand iced tea.

Fun fact, this is first Bonchon in the US! If you’re looking for Korean Fried Chicken, this is the place to go.

Great customer service and attentiveness from the employees.

Also, I’d recommend the spicy mayo sauce for $0.95!

I can’t believe this place calls itself Bonchon! The low quality chicken they use I’ve only seen at a cheap Chinese takeout! The service is terrible. The lady taking orders disappeared for over 10 mins when I was trying to pay for my food. I was actually debating on walking out without paying. Idk what these people ate that gave 5 stars reviews but I bet they never tried their other locations.

This place is like heaven, the consistency is just spoiling honestly haha and thank you guys so much for that. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, very fast and fresh tasting food and delivery. I keep wanting to explore the menu, but I always forget. Looking forward to that when I don’t get distracted by the sweet golden smell.

After a particularly bad experience at a different Bonchon location at Harvard Square in Boston, visiting another Bonchon again wasn’t very high on my bucket list. I’ve always known this location in Fort Lee was near me, but didn’t bother to try it until I got a promo code from Seamless to use today.

I ordered a small (12 piece) signature fried boneless wings, as I usually prefer boneless over bone-in wings. I really only eat bone-in wings if they are my only option. Imagine my disappointment after getting home and realizing that they gave me bone-in wings instead of what I had ordered. Since it would take me at least 25 minutes round-trip to walk there and back again, I decided not to go back to fix my order. I was originally going to write a review on the boneless wings, but this review will have to be about their bone-in wings instead.

After the initial disappointment, I was disappointed again at the fact that there is very little meat on each wing. When you bite in, it is mostly just the fried batter. I did like that the wings were extremely crispy though, which is something that beats most takeout places. They have holes in the box so that the steam can escape, which keeps the chicken from getting soggy. However, after finishing this meal, I just felt like it was very greasy since all I was eating was basically the crisp.

I also noticed when picking up my order that they have another sauce option called Sweet Crunch that was not on the menu on Seamless’ website. I feel like every business owner should have the responsibility of ensuring their menus are always up-to-date so that the customer can order anything that is offered by the restaurant. I definitely would have picked that sauce over the one I got if I had known it was an option.

Lastly, I personally think that the chicken is a little overpriced for what you get. With such little meat, the small size should not be worth $12. I probably would not pay for that again if I don’t have a promo code to use.

I feel like there are many other better Korean fried chicken places on the opposite side of Fort Lee that are not only more fairly priced, but have more meat on each wing. I’ll give this location 3 stars as I feel it was just average but not terrible.

I love Moon! ( the gentleman behind the counter) I also think this maybe the best chicken in town. Also love the kimchi.

The whole experience is a vibe.
