Everything tasted fresh, the portions were solid, and the flavor hits you right away. If you want Korean comfort food that actually delivers every single time, Bonchon is the move. Highly recommend!
This one is counter-served and had two tables inside. But they had a few outside dining. But not so ennoble because there too many flies outside. The ones I e been too had a few indoor seating.
Food: the chicken was good, I can taste the soy and that spicy flavor on my chicken and…
it was crispy as expected. The coleslaw tasted fresh which was a plus. The rest of the food was ok.
Service: it wasn’t the best service. Customer service need more training on how to approach and talk to customers. The person preparing the food was nice nice to their cashier. The food did take long, she did warn us it would take longer than usual but it took long. I wasn’t as hungry when we got out food I didn’t finish and we took more food home than usual.
We love BonChon wings, we used to drive 1 hour to eat at the BonChon in San Leandro so when this store opened in our town we were really happy. At the beginning they had a lot of operations issues, the order took forever but I understand and I gave them some time. Last time I ordered 60 wings : 30 spicy and 30 garlic and the total was over $120.
When we start eating them at home because this is a ToGo store. We noticed that the spicy ones were good as always but the soy garlic ones were really bad, all burned, black inside, small. They were not with the quality we expect, so I called the store and the woman didn’t even know what to tell me, so she took down my number and said they were going to call me back. After 5 days no one called me so I went to the store because I really feel this is not right away to handle a customer issue and the guy who was working told me he didn’t work that day but he tried to call the owner and he didn’t picked up the phone so again he wrote down my phone number and said someone is going to call me but again nothing.
So until now one week later I’m still expecting a call back and some sort of solution if this bad experience but they didn’t even seem to care. As another reviewer mentioned they never respond and I guess they are paying for some of the 5 star reviews because they are from people that don’t have any other reviews. You can look at the photo of my soy garlic wings and evaluate if this is the quality of a $2/wing
Comically when I entered the beverage station was bare, folks upfront seemed slammed, and the poor people in the back were slaving away.
I ordered and waited 20 minutes for the spicy chicken sandwich. It was cold but still tasted alright. But given the cost it’s hard to say it was worth it.
Aside from that the sitting area was filthy — the floors needed a cleaning as did the outdoor area. Furthermore with regards to seating they have more spots outside than inside to sit down and eat.
I’d like to believe that after sometime they will hammer out inconsistencies with the service they hope to provide.
