A lot of great choices here. Our server was great about giving us direction on what to order, how spicy or not spicy certain dishes are. Very clean and comfortable, my only down side was the music was pretty loud and made conversation difficult at times.

Jill was our waitress and she was amazing. She knows the menu very well and explained parts of it for us. We had the chicken sandwich, the Seoul sampler, and the sotteok sotteok. We switch out the coleslaw on the sampler for kimchi (highly reccomend) and everything was DELICIOUS! The chicken was crispy, crunchy, and juicy. The kimchi was addictive. I have never seen such filled potstickers. Will definitely come back and can’t suggest this place enough.

We stopped in after attending a gardening conference at the attached hotel. I’m fairly new to Korean food, but I’ve been craving it every day since!
I had the bibimbap with bulgogi (beef), and it was amazing! It was seasoned rice, onions, carrots, mushrooms, spinach, and scrambled egg. Another member of our party had Japchae, which was glass noodles, bulgogi, and vegetables. The third had shrimp shumai (fried shrimp dumplings) and bao buns with bulgogi, which didn’t look at all like I expected. It all looked incredible, and we were very happy with what we ordered. Next time I want to split the sampler with someone and try the fried chicken.
The gentleman who served us was very polite and attentive, and happy to give recommendations. We were there later than the typical lunch rush (1:30-2:30 or so), but it was still fairly busy. No one seemed to wait very long for their food, though.

Everything was great. Food was so good we went back for the Valentine’s Day special. Chicken wings were soooo good crunchy and moist. Perfectly cooked. The sampler plate was so good and worth it too. Even the popcorn shrimp was perfect. The fried rice was flavorful. The waitress was kind and attentive. Love her. The classic potstickers were super yummy. Just Everything was so good. Definitely recommend!

Update: While the food is great, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered delivery directly from the Bonchin app. $5 fee. No problem. At delivery time, no food. I go to pick it up and ask for a refund of the delivery fee. Nope, that’s a Door Dash fee and I have to reach out to them for it. That’s it. No semblance of an apology for delay or having to come out. Will consider other options next time I want fried chicken.

Love the fried chicken, service was great and our food came quickly! The only thing I didn’t like was the bibimbap, the sauce could have been better. Otherwise, we enjoyed everything and would come back again. It is also very wheelchair accessible.

Thursday night. Not busy, so not much waiting. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a Korean Iced Tea while waiting for my potstickers and chicken legs. It was a quiet and inviting atmosphere. The server apologized for my very minimal wait considering they were cooking very large chicken legs. I don’t recall the names of the sauces I chose, but they were both delicious! Just the right amount of spicy! And the crispyness was fabulous!

We drove to Bloomington from the Peoria area just to go to Bonchon because that is where my kiddo wanted to celebrate his birthday. The lovely Leti was our server, and she was incredible. We had a party of six (two adults and four teenagers) and Leti was on the ball the entire time and made us feel so welcomed the second we walked through the door. She had a wonderful demeanor, a warm smile, and never hesitated to answer any questions that we may have had. The food came out in no time at all and every person in our party, including two of the teens who had never been to Bonchon, enjoyed every bite. Our meal was extremely delicious and Leti was an absolute joy. We can’t wait to return and will tell everyone about the fantastic food and phenomenal service we experienced tonight. Thank you to Bonchon and to Leti for making my son’s birthday dinner super special.
