Hadn’t eaten at Bonanza in decades and drove 4 hours just to eat here. The experience far surpassed my expectations. The lunch buffet was a great value at $12 (no drink) and $16 with a drink.
My favorites were the fried chicken which was incredibly juicy and crispy, the steamed cabbage And the bread pudding, which is some of the best that I’ve ever had. The service was very friendly and plates were cleared quickly. I can’t believe there’s only three of these left. The only downside was that the ice cream machine was broken, but I was leaving, They had someone coming out to fix it. I wish there were more of these, I’d definitely return sooner!

This place is amazing, they have all the stuff that a regular steak house would have and an amazing buffet that can be purchased on its own or as an add on to a meal. Me and my wife have went a few times when we are in the area (about a hour and a half drive from home)the restaurant has a great feel, plenty of quality offerings that may cause you to overload your plate but remember you can always go back to get more. Don’t forget to tip the servers, they work hard taking care of you.

Buffet was ok ! pretty blan if asked me . But i paid for it and ate it. Had some amazing ham &bean soup give them that. Not a fan on the steak ordered portor house first time was over cooked asked for medium rare got well done. Ok so send back. Try again. Second comes out. Idk if its there steak no good or what was a grey pasty lookin color. I thought middle of a medium rare was pink not grey ! I asked for refund bc as a big steak house person this wasnt. For me. Honestly false advertising on there’s steak there open flame steaks look nothing like like the pictures at all The service is amazing i can give them that there on it ! That I would rate 8-10 Buffet id say 6-10 The atmosphere is 8-10. Bathrooms need cleaned toilet paper everywhere. Was our first time ever here and will be the last

Food was excellent! Brussels sprouts were the best, perfectly done. Meatloaf and cuke and onion salad, excellent as always. Baked beans, ham, and pork and saurkraut, delicious.
I never eat dessert but had peanut butter fudge and a cinnamon roll which were amazing. Senior special, only $10.99, well worth it!

I don’t even know where to start but to say run from this place & don’t go . Literally this was the am worst buffet food I have ever had in my entire life . Food looked old and dried . The chicken and chicken wings was so incredibly over cooked. My husband got a piece of fish and it dang near chipped/broke his tooth it was ROCK HARD !! The best part was dessert and then the Carmel container was so sticky it could not have been washed anytime lately with so hot water . They told my hubby they was bringing out crab soup and never did but Im not sure he would have eaten it. Nothing hot was fresh and there was just workers standing around literally doing nothing . Service very poor we had to ask few times for drinks and never once was we asked if our food was good . I was hoping a manager walked around asking how our food was bc I would have told her . I would never recommend or ever return here it was that bad . I’m not one to leave bad reviews unless it’s literally bad !!. That picture is of the fish my hubby got into and it’s solid as a rock .

Waitress was very accommodating, had a private room which was decorated nicely. Food was good but would have liked to see more variety in hot foods especially in meats on the buffet. Very limited in hot food choices on the buffet.

Bonanza in Chambersburg Pa. Dined last night with a large group in the private diner room and if I could give it minus 10 stars I would. The smell of sewage or backed up toilets was so incredibly strong and disgusting. It made me question the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. The food quality on the buffet was subpar, even on buffet standards. The chicken was barely edible. Dry and gross. The ham tasted fake. Everything was gross. Our server was kind, sweet and attentive which was the only delight about dining here.

Went for a networking event and felt like mixing things up with a bacon cheeseburger. Absolutely incredible! Sweet and savory with a hint of BBQ. Special thanks to Matt for putting up with my requests and presenting with one of the best lunches I’ve had in a long time!

We went at an off time between lunch and dinner. Despite being pretty busy, we were able to get a table right away. All 4 of us chose the salad bar- which had plenty of freshly brought out foods. We were tucked in a corner and felt a little forgotten about a few times when it came to refills and plate removal, but otherwise, it was a great family experience.

I specifically wanted to write this review because manager Rebecca went above and beyond during my boyfriend and I’s visit. He has a peanut allergy and we questioned the icing on one of the cakes. Rebecca went out of her way to make sure he was able to enjoy a slice of cake by specifically finding a cake that 100% had no peanuts. Thank you Rebecca it truly meant a lot to us.
