Bon Zanmi Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Tampa! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is amazing full of flavor, freshly made, and prepared with care. Every dish was delicious and tasted like authentic home-style cooking ❤️
From the owners, Toby and Carmelle, to the entire staff, the customer service was outstanding warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they truly care about their guests and take pride in creating a great experience. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and everything was served hot and fresh.
If you’re looking to host a private dinner or special event, this is definitely the place to be. The space, service, and overall atmosphere make it perfect for intimate gatherings and celebrations.

We happen to visit this restaurant while they were having a private event and they were nice enough to cater to us anyway. It was a very fun and lively atmosphere with music playing in people dancing and the food was fantastic and Service was great considering how busy they were catering to the private event. The Owner chef even took the time to come over and say hi and apologize if it was too loud for us, but I told them that we were used to it lol

Fried plantains (tostones) are very good.ox tails and jun jun rice (black rice) saspua could use some work. Ox tails taste ok. Sauce is not bad but its too much fat on ox tails. Jun jun rice wasn’t cooked all the way so its useless to me. I got catfished with that and had to toss it. You can’t serve people food not cooked. I threw up later that night. I have that Kreyole delight ox tail meal stuck in my taste buds and its hard to compete with that. Saspua is too salty and the ratio isn’t right. This is a nice establishment on the inside. Nobody can understand me very well when I call to place an order and that goes both ways but I’m happy for my haitian brothers and sistas and wish you well. I probably won’t ever order the oxtails or jun jun rice ever again as you only get one chance. For 35$ I feel I got duped

My Haitian Sister took me to Bon Zanmi for lunch, to celebrate my new job. When I tell you, this place does not disappoint Y’all!! Not only is the food on point, but they are set up to host events, Birthdays or any celebration that You feel, may require a VIP section. We got the oxtail and grio with black rice. That black rice with the red sauce and pickled cabbage is a meal by itself!! Definitely going back to try the Conch, because they didn’t have any that day. This place is fancy and in da cut. Look for the gate with the truck in front. We drove past it twice, so ride slow when going down the street. If you get to the stop sign, you gone to far. They might want to think about putting out a little A-framed sign, with the name and showing the entrance outside of the gate. But you’ll find it…if you really want it. Some of the most authentic Haitian food that I’ve ever had here in Tampa. Brothers and Sisters…if you want to feel like Home, go to Bon Zanmi!! You Will Not Be Disappointed!!
