Wow! What an incredible experience at Bon Vie. We came for their New Years Eve menu. Absolutely delicious. The building is so cozy, small, but even on a busy night like NYE I couldn’t tell by the service or staff if they were stressed. They were so good under the pressure of the evening. Our service was smooth and never felt rushed. Most of our dinner conversation was spent talking about how good the appetizer, entree and dessert were. Definitely coming back every NYE and special occasion as we are Hobart locals.

Loved this little gem on the water! We had a lovely evening on the deck watching the birds and fish. Our server was very nice to our hangry 4 year old. The pumpkin salad and stuffed mushroom appetizer was delicious! My martini with stuffed olives was great. We highly recommend!

Went here for a nice family dinner with our two young daughters and can’t recommend this place enough! The food was absolutely amazing, dare I say Michelin quality, and very unique takes on classic foods. They treat you like family and are so kind with kids. Will definitely be coming back very soon!

Hands down best Chicken Marsala I’ve ever had! This place is a gem. The staff were friendly and warm and the perfect amount of attentive. I hate feeling rushed at a restaurant to make a decision and our server Rachel was more than paitient with me and very kind. The atmosphere was super cozy! Cucumbers martini was delicious and my date’s Pork Chop was juicy and flavorful. Absolutely delicious experience! Will be back.

Bon Vie is one of those hidden gems. First thing that stands out is the family like treatment you get when you’re there. This inviting, warm, and cozy setting really lets you relax like you are at a family gathering for dinner. The food is always tasty and interesting. The menu changes often. It also comes out like a unique little piece of art! The drinks are fun! The bar is well kept. The patio is perfect for nice weathered days. It’s in the back and faces Lake George. It’s
peaceful. Laurie (the owner) is usually/ often there and comes around to check on you. She is friendly and pleasant to chat with every time. Often with other restaurants, I’m ready to leave as soon as I’m full. At Bon Vie it’s hard to leave at all.

Perfect night at Bon Vie The bacon balsamic pork chop was incredible, Jen’s ahi tuna was spot on, and our daughter and her boyfriend loved their gnocchi. Great cocktails too — especially the cucumber martini (served in the right glass… if you know, you know ).

This place was a fantastic find! The building is a little house turned into a restaurant and it couldn’t be more homey! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Perfect for a date night with your people! The food… I can’t even say enough about the food. The menu is small and focused on fresh ingredients to eliminate food waste. You can truly tell that the owners care about what they are producing while allowing the chef to be creative and explore new dishes. The drinks were fantastic too! Service was outstanding!

I wish I had taken photos but this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The homemade focaccia and the mushroom butter was the perfect start. We ordered baked Brie with apples and it was outstanding! They give way too much cheese though! If you have a party of 4 it would be the perfect amount. We both had the stuffed pumpkin as an entree. It was spicier than we both expected, but in a good way. It was kind of like jambalaya inside a pumpkin. I had the Casablanca old fashioned (ridiculously good) and she had a martini that tasted like a pumpkin spice latte. From start to finish it was the perfect autumnal meal. The setting inside an old Victorian makes the dining experience much more intimate since the house is sectioned off. I can’t wait to go back when the menu changes again!
