The best Italian food I have ever had that wasn’t made by my Nana or my own mother. I never dine out for Italian cuisine but eating here felt like coming home. Everything is fresh and made to order. The pastas are all made in house and are unbelievable. I had the Carbonara, the Arancini and prosciutto wrapped figs last I was there and could eat that every week! Since this place opened, I have brought friends and family members to try it out! All could not believe how amazing everything was. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff are accommodating and friendly, and I can’t wait to come back again.

We had a fantastic dinner at Bon Ton’s! The Godfather, made with bourbon and peach amaretto (and a cherry), was excellent. Our Bruschetta appetizer was full of flavor, and the Chicken Marsala was juicy and delicious. Spouse’s charcuterie board contained more than she could eat. The tiny gingerbread men were a nice wrap up to a great meal. Service was excellent – Cathy took great care of us, and we chatted with the manager multiple times. The atmosphere was really top notch. Would definitely come visit again next time we’re in town.

I don’t know why this restaurant has a bad rating – we had such a good time here! I could not stop thinking about their food. This was such a treat for our mini-moon after getting married in Estes Park.
We got free bread to start, and my husband couldn’t stop raving about the tomato sauce.
We got the mussels as an appetizer. We have some back home that we loved, but these couldn’t beat it. Still delicious and a good serving size!
For main, I ordered the gnocchi and will never forget it. Homemade gnocchi just hits different. We noticed that the chef enjoys making the chicken Marsala and chicken piccata, so my husband got the chicken Marsala. He really enjoyed it!
We ended with limoncello shots (as I spent a summer in Italy and had to reminisce). They were the perfect sipping dessert drink.
Overall a wonderful experience! We definitely will be coming back to Ouray since we loved all the views and hiking, but this restaurant will definitely be on our list to return to.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and decided we were in the mood for some good Italian food, so we went to Bon Ton’s. It did not disappoint! We had the calamari, charcuterie, pork chops and gnocchi. For desert we had the tiramisu and lemon cake. All of the food was 10/10 excellent! We sat at the bar, and the bartender Austin was wonderful, very personable, and made some awesome drinks. We can’t wait to visit again next time we are in town!

An unexpected treat!! 1st of all IMMEDIATE seating on 4th of July weekend! I’m not saying they weren’t busy. We just got lucky! I really wasn’t dressed for the restaurant, in my opinion (shorts & hiking boots), but they still let me in.
The patio seating was very well done, simple but effective. The view was beautiful.
Our server (I really wish I was paying better attention) was very professional & personable! She was very energetic & helpful.
The Salumi e Fromaggi was good with house made bread. I believe the Stone Mustard has horseradish in it. It was delicious with everything.
Bon Ton House Salad with Lemon dressing, so good with the Arugula.
Grilled Kinikin Filet was nice & tender good flavor. But the demi sauce really needed a little more flavor & a little thicker too. I know it’s sauce not a gravy. But I’d like it to stick to the meat.
Carne Piazzailo was interesting in the flavors but good. The gateau was interesting but definitely worth the try.
Limoncello sorbet, nice light & refreshing.
The Italian Cookie plate was delicious especially the coffee ice cream! I could go back for the ice cream itself.

My parents honeymooned in Ouray & used to go to the Bon Ton for their anniversary, but stopped going awhile back… Now, with a new chef, I am so excited for them to try this long time favorite again!

I was hoping for more…. Started with calamari and I don’t often find it breaded with corn flour. It’s just me maybe but not my favorite. I ordered chicken piccata with high hopes as our server when asked said the chef loves to cook it. I won’t really comment on other family members meals. But will say that it was way different than I’ve had at other Italian restaurants. Chicken was dry, and the sauce was “ different”. I can’t put my finger on it, maybe too many capers? But different in not a great way. One thing to mention is that if anyone has an allergy issue. You better speak up because we didn’t shout it from the mountain and ordered chicken parmigiana knowing it has no mushrooms. And with in seconds my wife had a bad reaction. She almost had to go to the hospital because all pasta gets cooked in the same pot so the water her noodles were cooked in also cooked mushroom ravioli. So be sure to tell your server so they can take extra care.

Very different from the old Bon Ton (we’ve been twice before, 2021 and 2022). This version is absolutely amazing! We ordered the caprese, gnocchi, and pollo. The fried tomatoes were perfectly done. The gnocchi was clearly hand made and the flavors with it were well chosen. The chicken was perfectly done and came in enormous beans with a nice smoky flavor. The food and atmosphere here are better than a $100/person fine dining restaurant we’ve been to (in another state). Prices are reasonable for the area, expect about $25-$30 per person. The amount of food was respectable, not what I’d call enormous, but certainly not small. The food quality made it worth the price.

Well this place use to be great.. under new management now and newly reopened so I don’t wanna say it can’t be great again because it sure can. But this visit was not that great. Menu very limited, didn’t have traditional pastas, soups, or even a veggie with the trout or the chicken. Not cool, and not a balanced meal. So what did I like? The chicken was great, little heavy on the rosemary side but good. Trout was way over cooked, and the chicken liver pate was not good. I really hope for the best here, the atmosphere is wonderful and with a better menu and more professional staff this has great potential

Went on Sunday night. Great food. New girl was 2 nights into working there and she is super sweet! She did a wonderful job and would ask questions to find the answer if she didn’t know. My boyfriend and I were visiting from the Springs for our anniversary. We enjoyed our dinner! My main issue is that our bill was 96.86. We tipped a 20 in cash. The transaction just processed through my bank due to the holiday and the restaurant cleared/charged 103.86 on the card, giving themselves an extra 7 dollars. Not quite sure what to say about someone taking advantage of us like that.
