Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The Brussels sprouts were next level — perfectly crisp, full of flavour, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. And the mac and cheese… pure comfort food perfection. Rich, creamy, and completely unforgettable.

The prime rib was cooked beautifully — tender, juicy, and exactly what you hope for when you order something special. The red fish, omg!

What truly made the night though was Travis and Zach. Their service was warm, attentive, and genuine. They made us feel completely looked after without ever being over the top, and their recommendations were spot on.

Chic place in a quieter part of Nola, with historic „newoleenz” vibe. Dined alone on Sunday evening. Had a Wedge salad for starter and the restaurant’s flagship RibEye Steak, medium-done, regular cut, with charcoaled broccolli, paired with a glass of Pino Grigio Four Graces.
Salad was excellent, crispy, with creamy blue cheese and sprinkled with bacon crumbs.
However…the flagship RibEye was served on a cold plate and when it arrived, it was not warm enough. That was not the experience, I expected in such an elegant restaurant, so after few bites, I decided to say the steak was cold. The manager, who approached me, said they serve them at 105F and said they will heat it for me a bit, but will not overclockingu, not to spoil it. After a while, he was back and said they put it on a very hot plate and it should be good. It was. I wish it had been done so in the first place. That was a scratch on what I hoped would be a perfect southern American steak experience, hence 4, for food. Service was excellent, so was the atmosphere. Some way to perfection though…

This is what a real steakhouse should be. The service is excellent, our server knew all menu items without having to look at notes. The place is “classy”, and the food is very good.

We had the Cajun bacon and the Bon Ton Oysters. Both of these were incredible. For mains, we ordered the Cajun Steak (ribeye) and the New York Strip and asked for Cajun seasoning on this as well. The steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered it… my only issue is that the seasoning is very salty which made the steak less enjoyable than it could have been.

For sides we ordered the onion rings and the Rib Roast Lyonniase. The onion rings are some of the best, crispiest I ever had, the Lyonnaise dish, is a chopped potato dish with beef fat and beef trimmings…. This was not that great and did not justify the price.

The drink options are extensive and our waiter was pleasant and skilled. This is a very good high end restaurant.

Great food in LOUD room. My wife booked this meal for our birthday trip to New Orleans for her.
We arrived on time and had to wait about 30 minutes for our table.
Once we were seated the service was great and pours on our drinks were very good indeed!
We had the Cajun bacon, prime rib, filet and a mashed potatoes big enough for three.
Fantastic meal! Prime rib was a perfect medium rare.
The only drawback I think people need to know is that this place is LOUD!
Lots of conversation noise on top of a soundtrack they are blaring. I really had to focus to hear the waiter and my wife.

Bon Ton consistently delivers what I consider the best prime rib in the city. The crust and meat are deeply flavorful and cooked to perfection. The BBQ shrimp were also top-notch, and I have yet to have a bad meal here. The cocktails are excellent, and the atmosphere becomes lively as the night goes on. Although it has been taken over by Chophouse, I still prefer this location and experience.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was top tier—warm, inviting, and rich with that timeless New Orleans charm. The ambiance perfectly balanced elegance and comfort, creating an experience that felt both upscale and authentically Southern.

What truly made our visit unforgettable, though, was our waiter, Samuel. His attitude was absolutely outstanding—professional, personable, and genuinely attentive. Samuel didn’t just serve our table; he elevated our entire dining experience. His attention to detail was impeccable. From thoughtful recommendations to ensuring every element of our meal was perfect, he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. That level of service is rare and so appreciated.

It’s clear that Bon Ton Cafe takes pride not only in its food and atmosphere but also in the caliber of its staff. Samuel is a true asset to the team.

We will definitely be revisiting—and requesting Samuel again. 10/10

Best meal in a long time. Our incredible server Bradley didn’t appear surprised when I told him it’s likely the best prime rib I’ve ever had. Classic wedge was large enough to split. House-made blue cheese olives in my dirty martini were bangers. Can’t wait to return.

First time in NOLA, so we made it a point to try different places during our week-long stay. Bon Ton was by far the best steakhouse I have ever been to — the food was top shelf. Our server, Zach, was amazing and made the experience even better. This place should definitely be a must-visit when you’re in NOLA!.

Had reservations for 9p. Were seated just before 9 and told we came at the perfect time, assumed we were there during a smoother time…. their kitchen closes at 9. We were never rushed. We were given recommendations for food and drink. The food was delicious. Staff was very attentive. Our waiter was George, our bartender was Jace. We had the Cajun bacon, crab cakes, drinks, filet mignon, ribeye, broccoli, cheese mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. We loved it all. Staff gave us recommendations for other places to go. I am writing this from Bearcat which is also amazing. Grateful to Bon Ton for a great evening AND morning.
