The place looked like a front to a shady business. It can be easily mistaken for a restaurant but it’s more of a lounge.
The waitresses do not speak english (or they pretend not to speak). But that’s not a complaint, it’s more of an inconvenience especially at a place where mutual communication is a necessity to order desired food. They ended up giving us food we didn’t order and charged us for it. We couldn’t argue or make them understand because they couldn’t speak any english. The menu is also completely in Vietnamese without any translations.
When it came to pricing, they just charge you a flat rate of $25 for every dish $35+ for anything with meat. We asked for fried rice with tofu and vegetables, they brought us two different dishes of plain fried rice and fried vegetables with tofu and charged us $25 for each. My friend order a beef fried rice and got a beef salad instead and he paid $35 for it.
In total we spent $120 for two people’s 4 dish meal including a $15 tip (which also got lost in translation somehow). P.S they even charged us for complimentary dishes like peanuts, water and dipping sauces that came with the food.
I don’t recommend going here unless you want to be ripped off by innocent looking middle aged Vietnamese.
