Great little find in Hamilton. Second visit and not the last.
Bombay Palace in my mind provides excellent food and service. We went for the early menu (available till 6.30 I think) with good choices.
The sauces with the food were wonderful with deep and layered flavours. Gives others in the town a run for their money I would say.
Staff are welcoming and friendly and will go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable.
Highly recommend.

A friend and myself popped in to try this before heading to a concert in Edinburgh. The food was delicious, the service was really good. The warming the plates gesture was really nice, alongside the warm hand towels provided with the bill. It was very quiet for a Friday evening, which is a shame as the food and service was so good!

The atmosphere at Bombay Palace is warm and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. However, while everything else sets the right tone, the food falls short of expectations, the flavours aren’t as rich or tasty as they should be for an Indian restaurant. With some improvement in taste, it could easily match its great ambience and service.

Came here for Mother’s Day and the food was gorgeous!
We had the poppadoms and mixed pakora to start, then I had king prawn Zaik-e-Daari, my husband had chicken Kerala Chilli, we had pilau rice and garlic naan with these and our children both had chicken nuggets & chips. Everyone absolutely loved their meal and our bellies were left full and satisfied!
On top of this, the staff were very friendly, and we got heated lemon wipes at the end and all plates were heated too which I thought was a nice touch.
Definitely recommend this gem!

I’ve eaten good food all over the world, rarely do eat great or exceptional food cooked with love and respect, if you want to take that step go to the Bombay Palace. Tommy Jameel is a food artist, the Punjabi Pardasi was possibly the best curry I have ever tasted, the spices and flavours were exceptional.

6I’m not really one for reviews, but i had to recommend this place. Proper Indian food, friendly attentive staff and cosy welcoming decor. I can normally find fault with something, but from the atmosphere to the poppadoms to the mains everything was spot on. Honestly can’t recommend this place enough!

We ordered food from Bombay Palace and collected it. The guys are very friendly and we had some good chat whist the finishing touches to the food were being made before it was brought out. The food was fantastic and we even got a custom meal for one one of our Vegans!! I have tried several takeaways in Hamilton and in our opinion this restaurant is the best in town!

To start, the food was brilliant. Absolutely lovely, dishes are a blend of traditional dishes you are used to seeing in an Indian and dishes I’d not heard of before. Everything we ordered was delicious.
The service staff were really friendly, however, we were the only customers in the restaurant all evening so they were trying really hard to ensure we were okay and needed nothing which made things a little awkward. The only time we weren’t being seen to was the really long time between ordering and our food turning up. However, I will caveat the food was absolutely worth the wait.
The main disappointment I have however, is that we attended on Tuesday in order to book. We were made aware that they had sufficient baby changing facilities so we would be fine with our 9 month old……. The baby changing facility is a book shelf, which is in the corridor open to the public. It has just had a baby changing sign above what was previously a shelf people would put drinks or flyers on. It is in no way suitable or even safe for changing a child on. That’s without mentioning the inappropriate nature of the “changing shelf” being in the middle of the corridor with every Tom, Dick and Harry walking passed you whilst you’re trying to protect your child’s dignity.
When asked why we were made aware there was baby changing facilities were available. Just putting a sign above something doesn’t make it a changing facility. We were told that’s what was there when they took over and have no plans on making anything else.
