Delicious lunch at Bombay! The samosas had a great spice to them. Mango lassi was perfect as well as the garlic naan. Our chicken dishes for lunch were delicious! The owner is very sweet and you feel like you are in his home. Very nice atmosphere and great food!

This is my usual place to go to for Indian food take out. The food is pretty flavorful and authentic. My last experience is what causes me to give it a 4-star vs 5-star rating. My husband and I ordered our usual and when we got home, we noticed that one of our entrees was cooked differently and almonds were added to the dish. My husband has a dangerous allergy to nuts so I called to get an explanation of why this dish had been made differently because according to the current menu there is NO mention of nuts in the entree’s description. He was instantly apologetic and explained that sometimes his cook creates variation of the same dish. I explained to him how it could’ve costed my husband a trip to the hospital and that adding nuts could be dangerous for others with the same allergy. From now on I will have to ask in order to make sure no nuts are added to conventional dishes. Hopefully this won’t happen to anyone else. Otherwise, the restaurant is clean, staff is friendly, and food is good.

I had lunch with my family here Saturday afternoon and we had the Chicken Korma, Chicken and a Lamb Biryani, and the Lamb Korma. Well prepared dishes, very good full flavored and not too spicy to eat. Also had some of their Mulligatawny soup which was excellent. I wish I could get their recipe. The food came in a timely manner and the service was attentive and courteous.

I wanted to try a new /different Indian restaurant in the area and decided to try Bombay Indian restaurant which was closer than i thought a hidden gem! The owner Kumar was very accommodating and friendly. I ordered Lamb Biryani and Mango lassi all came out reasonably timed and tasted great. The portion of the Lamb Biryani was so filling i was able to take out the leftovers and reheating next day for breakfast was amazingly delicious! I will definitely return and bring a friend next time! Thank you so much!

My sister and I and our husbands just ate here tonight. We didn’t know anything about the restaurant, and didn’t know what to expect.

Everything was delicious. The papadum was the best any of us had eaten. The naan was very good as well. And the sauces that came with the papadum seemed to be freshly made, not some gooey sauce out of a package.

The owner had just started including dishes that he ate at home. Tonight, for instance, he served a salmon and rice dish that was top notch. The salmon was perfectly tender and not overcooked. It was not spicy. I mention this not because we are afraid of spicy, but to point out that it was authentic in that this was how the owner serves it at his own home.

We also had a goat biryani that was wonderfully spiced, in fact, very spicy, but not excessively so. Unlike so many biryani that you get, it was not oily nor was it too sweet.

I had the fried okra (bindhi) dish, which was nicely seasoned, but perhaps had a tad bit too much tomato sauce for my liking. Someone else may think it had exactly the right amount of tomatoes, though.
Finally, the last person in our party had an excellent chicken tikka masala.

The only drawback might have been that they had run out of beer. They had a good selection (Taj and Kingfisher), but had only one left. So we split it.

The owner was a truly pleasant host. He talked to us for a good 20 minutes (it was the end of the night and all the other customers had by that time left), as we asked him questions about the part of India he came from. He shared a lot of perspectives with us and we learned quite a bit and culture, literary figures, and, of course, food.

The food here is really good, but saving money with the lunch prices means the kitchen skimps you on the serving size. I had a total of three pieces of chicken in my curry the other day, and that’s not the first time. Worth your money for dinner though.

Delicious! I had the lunch special with chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, and plain naan, and also ordered a side of saag paneer. Everything was spiced well, and very flavorful.

Service was prompt. I was the only customer for lunch at 12:30 on a Wednesday. The man who served me (the owner?) was kind and considerate. I’ll definitely be back.

This used to be our favorite local Indian restaurant, but I’m very sad to say that recently the quality has gone way down.

Tonight, our butter chicken was bland and the sauce was watery, the papadam was literally dripping with grease, the paratha was undercooked and greasy, and the samosa was mushy.

Total disappointment. We won’t be going back.

They didn’t give us water right away, and it tasted weird. The korma was not as good as I’ve had at other places. The tikki masala was kind of sweet. Samosas were delicious, but their sauces were off. The naan was really good, and the mango lassi was also good.

We found a lot to like about Bombay Indian. We enjoyed their particular interpretations of some classic vegetarian dishes (Samosas, Malai Kofta, Chana Masala, Saag Paneer, Garlic Naan) and found the seasoning to be measured and imaginative. The Saag has a smoky note I have not run across before. Each dish was distinctive, with depth and layers of flavor. We usually skip Indian deserts, but ordered regular Kulfi and Mango Kulfi at the manger’s suggestion. Both were excellent. The Mango was clean and refreshing, much like a sorbet. I took a chance on the Masala Tea and was rewarded with aroma and flavor that is lacking in so many restaurant’s versions. We will certainly be back.
