Reviews
I genuinely wanted to support this new local business, especially as someone who grew up working in family-owned restaurants and understands how hard it is to start from the ground up. Unfortunately, my experience at Bombay Express was deeply disappointing both in food quality and customer service.
When I first called to place my order, the employee taking my order did not know what chutney was and had to bring the cook to the phone. That was my first concern. I then asked for bone-in chicken for my butter chicken and was told I would need to pay extra because they use pre-made tandoori chicken and simply add butter chicken sauce to it. This immediately suggested the dish was not prepared fresh.
Despite this, I decided to give them a chance because of the positive reviews and my desire to support a new restaurant.
Unfortunately, I found a hair in my food. I have brown hair, and the hair was clearly jet black. I had seen the cook when picking up my order, so the source was fairly obvious. Mistakes happen in restaurants — I did not rush to leave a review or contact the health department. Instead, I calmly called hoping to reach a reasonable solution with management.
Both employees I spoke with were dismissive and rude and appeared unwilling to notify a manager. I provided my phone number and was never contacted.
When I called again the following day, the manager answered and spoke to me in an equally confrontational manner. Although I remained calm and respectfully requested a refund for food I could not eat due to a clear health concern, he repeatedly raised his voice, demanded I bring back the entire meal (which had already been discarded after discovering the hair), and ultimately accused me of lying.
Beyond the hygiene issue and poor service, the food itself was underwhelming:
• The chicken was overcooked and tough, likely from reheating pre-prepared meat.
• The rice portion was extremely small compared to the entrée.
• The butter chicken lacked depth of flavor and tasted mostly of tomato paste rather than properly balanced spices.
I truly wanted to support this restaurant, but professionalism, food safety, and respectful treatment of customers are non-negotiable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Bombay Express.
I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items. Thank you to the incredible staff. Keep up the good work!
Starting with the appetizers — both the Chili Chicken and Chili Paneer were disappointing. They lacked flavor, weren’t served warm, and the chicken was overcooked.
For the main course, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. One dish had overcooked chicken, while the other tasted like it had been frozen. The gravies were overly tangy and lacked depth of flavor.
The only dish I genuinely enjoyed was the Baingan Bharta — it was flavorful and well-prepared.
Overall, I’m not sure what others found appealing, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t go back.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombay Express, and it was an absolute treat for the senses. The food not only looked inviting but delivered incredible flavor and authenticity in every bite.
The spread included fragrant biryani topped with fresh cilantro and crisp fried onions, creamy butter chicken rich with spices, perfectly cooked basmati rice, and soft naan breads — both plain and garlic varieties. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with aroma. The curries were rich yet balanced, with a wonderful blend of spices that didn’t overpower the palate. The naan was freshly baked, soft on the inside and lightly charred on the outside — perfect for scooping up every bit of sauce.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the dining experience warm and comfortable. Whether you’re craving a comforting biryani or flavorful curries, Bombay Express delivers a genuine taste of India that will leave you coming back for more.

Must try: Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Chicken Biryani
I recently visited Bombay Express, and I can confidently say this is one of the best new restaurants to open in a long time! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the menu with thoughtful recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about the food and the customer experience.
We started with the vegetable samosas and chili paneer–both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For mains, we tried the butter chicken, chicken tikka, CHICKEN BIRYANI ( chef’s kiss) DAAL TARKA (my FAV) along with some of the softest butter naan I’ve ever had. Each dish was packed with authentic spices and tasted homemade in the best possible way.
To top it off, we shared sa cup of masala chai, which were the perfect finish to an already incredible meal.
Whether you’re already a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back soon–and bringing friends!
