By the time she finished, there was a line of customers growing behind us. Right before she told us the total, I mentioned that I have a $20 digital gift card I wanted to use and showed it to her. She then seemed to panick and start pressing buttons on her screen.
After a while, she pulled out her phone and called her manager. I’m assuming she was asking her how to scan my digital coupon but I don’t know what all was said, as they were conversing in Spanish. As all this was going on, one customer in line got tired of waiting and walked out. I seriously wanted to go with him.
After a while, she hung up the phone and just stood there unsure of what to say or do. At that point, I was so irritated I told my boyfriend I didn’t wanna be there anymore so he told her to cancel our order and we left. We were still in the mood for Mexican food, so we went over to Abelardo’s for lunch instead.
This whole entire experience was super disappointing and I don’t feel this restaurant should have the high rating that it has. My boyfriend is from out of town, so I was looking forward to eating there with him and I was so excited to finally use my gift card I received from my job. Bomb Taco needs to hire better staff and maybe not leave someone by herself that clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing. Never again.
I started with their street tacos, which were simply delicious. Each taco was packed with authentic flavors, and the fresh ingredients made every bite enjoyable. The variety offered on the menu meant there was something for everyone, and I couldn’t resist trying a few different kinds.
To complement my tacos, I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita. It was the perfect blend of sweetness and tang, incredibly refreshing and just the right consistency. It paired wonderfully with the food and made for a delightful dining experience.
We also decided to try the wings the next day and they did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they were generously coated in a flavorful sauce that had just the right amount of kick.
What really stood out during my visit was the fantastic customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to get our order out, ensuring we had everything we needed without any delays. Their enthusiasm for the food and commitment to providing a great experience added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
In summary, this Mexican restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return!
As for the food – 5/5 ⭐️
-The chips trio was great! Do yourself a favor and only get corn chips though, the flour ones were kind of greasy and plain imo. The guac is probably the best I’ve had in a very long time – fresh, well-seasoned, just delicious. The salsa was like homemade but better. Again, fresh, very tasty! The queso though was of course my favorite. Tasty, thin enough to dip but still have plenty on the chip.
The el Chicano burrito was amazing. The meat was so tender and flavorful – everything on it was fresh. The fries inside it were still a little crispy when I made it home which was great. It was overall just a little greasy, but delicious! Would definitely recommend this one if you’re not sure what to get. It’s a pretty big burrito so I feel like I got my money’s worth. The elotitos that I got with as the side were so good!! I’d probably wait til corn is in season to get it again though, just a personal preference.
My roommate got the chicken quesadilla and it looked amazing, smelled great. There was plenty of cheese, lol you could see it oozing out on the sides. Based on how thick it was there was lots of chicken inside. He said it tasted pretty great and would get it again.
Lastly, the churro cheesecake! Presentation-wise it looks great, looks delicious and you want to dive in. Biting into it, you’d think it would be heavy, but it’s not! It’s nice and light, perfect blend of churro and cheesecake.
Overall, very happy with my first experience with Bomb Taco! I will definitely be back and would highly recommend stopping in to try it out 🙂 also, they have daily specials so take a look at those if you wanna try something specific, plus happy hour!
Food was delicious and made fast and fresh.
The red and green sauces are … the bomb
Will definitely be coming back !
