Lee and Jenny Bolton began as a local food truck in 2021 specializing in handcrafted smash burgers, homemade soups and more. Now Bolton’s is a restaurant in the heart of downtown Mt Holly. We hope to exceed your expectations with each visit & every bite! Our cozy shop has tables that seat up to 8 to tables for 2. Our bar holds 16 taps under fireplaces that give a nice date night vibe. Rotating taps include 14 craft beers, and 2 domestics plus bourbon & cocktails! Other fun features include our Bigfoot who loves selfies and lives in our storefront window! The Bolton’s are on the Bigfoot 911 field research team, so our Yeti is quickly becoming a beloved downtown sighting. The Bolton Burger Challenge is one that even Bigfoot may not finish!

Bolton’s Curbside Cookery is a charming little restaurant right on the main strip of Mt. Holly. I have seen this place packed before, so I felt lucky when we managed to grab the last table as we arrived. A few tables cleared shortly after. The ordering process was simple. We placed our order at the host table, received a number, and the food was brought to us. For two people, the wait was very reasonable at about fifteen minutes.
I ordered The Beefy Caprese with french fries, and my friend ordered The Improper Popper with onion rings. My Caprese was good, refreshing, and flavorful, but it was not exactly what I was craving. The Popper, on the other hand, hit the spot for me that day. We ended up switching meals, and both enjoyed the swap! The Popper had great flavor, but I think a couple of small tweaks could make it even better: a little less pimento and fresh jalapeños instead of pickled. As for the sides, the french fries were pretty standard, but the onion rings were excellent. I would absolutely order those again.
Overall, Bolton’s Curbside Cookery offers a cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and creative menu options. It is a great spot for a casual meal in Mt. Holly.

My husband and I tried Bolton‘s today for the first time ever today, and it was the best experience! This place is an Absolute gem! The service was amazing. The atmosphere is so nice and comfy, and the food is out of this world. My husband had a pimento cheeseburger with a side of cheese fries, and I had a barbecue and onion ring burger with a side of fried okra ! We will definitely be going back to Bolton‘s.

The burgers were phenomenal. So tender and full of flavor. The fries were LOADED and crispy with a good amount of toppings. The hotdog was pretty good too, will be coming back for sure!

We sat at the bar and the bartender took our order. He was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Excellent service. The smashbugers are amazing and huge. The onion rings were perfectly lightly fried. The barbecue sauce we got to put on them was delicious. 2 burgers, one was a double, one onion ring, and one soda all for under 30 bucks. We’ll worth it.

This was my second time visiting Bolton’s Curbside and my experience was a little different. The food was not a good a before so I will return soon for a do over. My first experience was excellent. However, this time my food was not a good. The onion rings were oily and dark. My Swiss mushroom burger was a bit on the salty side. The chicken was tender and flavorful.

Great little spot in the heart of Mount Holly. I rate the burgers here Top 5 in the entire state. Great friendly staff, greets you with a smile at the door, very clean and modern decor. The wait time was not bad at all for freshly made burgers and sides. Definitely worth a drive if you’re a burger enthusiast, or just a foodie that enjoys great food. I will be definitely be coming back.

Hot dogs were great along with the crinkle fries which were golden/crispy with season salt. Everything came out quick & hot too which is always great. The staff were friendly & the environment was welcoming + clean. I’d definitely go back, they have smash burgers that I want to try.

We just stopped in for takeout but immediately liked this place. The staff were very friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in.
I wasn’t feeling top notch so I got the Chickie Dumpies to go — absolutely hit the spot. Creamy and hot with enough seasoning that I didn’t have to add anything to my bowl when I got home.

We were curious about this place because of the giant yeti in the front window. Still don’t know what that’s about, but the food was great! The hamburger was way bigger than the bun. The onion rings were great.
