A Hidden Gem for Authentic Indian Cuisine in Portland!
I recently visited Portland from Arizona and, after a long day of exploring, we were craving some comforting Indian food. Thanks to Google, we found this incredible place—and I’m so glad we did!
On our first visit, we ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Veg Biryani, Garlic Naan, and Samosas. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The Paneer Butter Masala and Veg Biryani had such a unique, standout flavor that’s truly hard to find anywhere else. The Samosas were perfectly crispy, and the Garlic Naan was soft, fresh, and packed with flavor.
The quantity of food was amazing too—much more generous compared to many other places.
We loved the experience so much that we came back the very next day. This time, we ordered Garlic Naan, Mix Veg Curry, and Chana Masala, Rice and once again, everything was phenomenal. Even my kids, who can be picky with spices, enjoyed every bite both days. Their food is definitely kid-friendly without compromising taste.
On top of the amazing food, the hospitality was outstanding.
Bollywood Dhaba is now officially our go-to spot whenever we’re in Portland. There are still so many dishes we want to try, but we’ll have to save those for our next trip.

My favorite food cart in the area, Bollywood Dhaba is fancy restaurant quality food…at a food cart. I’ve tried most of their vegetarian menu (which is robust) and absolutely love it all. My favorite is the paneer masala with naan and mango lassi. It’s really rich and perfectly spiced. Super nice people there too. Always so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

This was my third time ordering from here. The food comes out hot, delicious and spiced just right. Service is fast and friendly! This order was the chicken vindaloo, this is a yes! The butter chicken and their lamb; all on point! Don’t forget to add the dal and naan!

Food tastes good, but wasn’t what was pictured. I was hoping to get the mixed veg masala as pictured, but it was just a thick heavy sauce. Again still tasty, but didn’t meet my expectations.

10/10!!! We heard about this food truck from a friend so had to try it out. Ordered the Dal Tadka, Saag Paneer, chicken tikka masala, and a lamb dish with garlic naan and samosas – all SO delicious. The flavor of the dal was insanely comforting. We ordered medium heat level for all dishes, warmed us right up. The gal who was running the cart went above and beyond for us and our large group – thank you! We will be back 🙂

Favorite vindaloo in town! Ask for it extra hot. Great, round spice and chicken is always super tender. Had it for the first time a few weeks ago and keep coming back. Cart is also run by some absolutely sweet people. Highly recommend!!

If you are in Portland area and want to dine in or take out, this food truck is very convenient. The location is amazing to just sit and dine and if you are in a hurry place your order ahead pick it up and continue your journey.
Coming to the food, we tried lamb and chicken curries with naan and rice. It was delicious. Cooked fresh in the food truck and served with utmost humbleness. We were lucky to meet the whole family as it was weekend. Preeti is amazing cook and her husband Puru is a good host.
We are definitely visiting again when we are in Portland area.

The best Indian food in Portland, as far as I’m concerned. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The medium spice level is perfect for white people who like spice—spicy enough that I’m sipping water throughout my meal, but not so spicy that I can’t taste anything/am suffering. The prices may seem steep at first but the portions are huge, I easily get 3 meals out of one order. And the family who runs this place is so, so sweet.

Everything I’ve had is fantastic. Biryani and lamb curry are some of the best I’ve had in the city. The owners are so genuinely kind, I leave happier every time I pick up food. Don’t look any further; get your dinner here. I don’t leave reviews often but happy to do so here.
