Bolder filled by 5:45pm on a dreary Thursday in late winter, deservedly so. Want to come later, even on a weeknight, make a reservation or prepare to wait.
This was our first time here, as on prior occasions we found the line too daunting. We were surprised when another 4:15pm patron was led to their reserved table, but we learned that their planning and caution was well-founded.
We discovered the popularity of Bolder to be well-deserved. Seeking lite fare for an early dinner, calorie conscious, we both navigated the tempation-filled menu with success. We thoroughly enjoyed the bison burger and turkey club, the latter being sufficiently sample for a split lunch the next day too.
Service was rock-solid and very efficient. We definitely hope to be back soon. And we will make a reservation.

Great experience! Our server Jonathan was amazing—very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was nice and the food was delicious. We loved the drunken mussels and watermelon salad. The ribs and steak medallions were both tasty (the mushroom sauce was a standout!). They have a bar and aesthetic patio. Cute restaurant with great service—we’ll definitely be back!

Went in for my work holiday party. Nothing extravagant but simple gift exchanging. Arrived at 3:45 as the kitchen didn’t open till 4pm. Waited till 4:15 for our orders to be taken. I ordered pasta but omitted shrimp and a drink. Told the server that it should reflect the pricing as I shouldn’t be paying a full price ($26) but a reduction. It was acknowledged. The service was somehow pleasant, a bit slow but absolutely nothing bad. I was fine with that. Somehow I was distracted with the gift exchange and didn’t pay attention to the bill as I paid for it with a good tip. Later I realize about the shrimp and checked the bill – I was charged in full. I should have paid attention to it and remind her of the difference. So, with that part missed out – oh well. Merry Christmas. Def will come back!

Visited 3/6 for dinner. Both entrees were served with the runners thumbs in the plate. The edge of the plates were “dirty” and should have been wiped clean by the expo in the kitchen. Food was meh for the cost. Waitress visited our table not enough to make an impression. Once spilling water across the table while refilling glasses. Did not bother to apologize or clean up spill. When check was brought to the table it was given like “here” and walked away. Restaurant was very loud. Table adjacent to us sent four different plates back for unknown reasons. No one said thank up when existing. I’ll be taking my money and appetite elsewhere in the future.

This was my first time visiting. Generally the food was tasty.
For appetizers we had the Brussels sprouts and fried asparagus. While both tasted good, we felt both were under seasoned and blend. We were also surprised that the chipotle sauce was served in plastic to go containers (we dined in) – same with the tartar sauce!
The bacon wrapped scallops over risotto was divine! Those scallops were the star of the night. The Cajun shrimp and grits, while flavorful was alright but nothing to rave about. The layer of kale in between the grits and the shrimp/chorizo seemed out of place, confusing the dish and not really adding any value. The crab cake was better than average better but not spectacular.
Dessert wise, as much I was super excited about the chocolate crème brûlée, I was a bit disappointed. I’m greedy by nature, but that dessert was too big! It was dense, rich and had the essence of a cross between a thick mousse and fudge rather than traditional crème brûlée. The cake was delicious, maybe too rich and sweet for our taste.

My first time at Bolder and the food was amazing. Service was excellent and so were the drinks. The only downside I would say is the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee didn’t have any actual Vanilla Bean. It was still a great dessert. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lay back place but a meal that taste like its fine dining with out breaking the bank.

Ordered the strip steak, it was tough and chewy although it was cooked properly, medium rare. It is very cheap cut of meat at the cost of prime. I will not be ordering again. I get better steaks from Costco.

Consistently good food, drinks, and service. Bolder offers a great core menu with rotating weekly specials and a broad selection of desserts (try the bread pudding – you won’t regret it) and after dinner drinks. Highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer, the “bold fashioned,” and the salmon with seasonal risotto. The beef medallions and cornbread crusted chicken never disappoint, but always happy to try something new. Truly never a bad experience at Bolder!

Saw this place has good reviews online so visited it with my family. Very cozy atmosphere however can be viewed as a more smaller establishment. Staff were great, our server Johnathon was very easy going and helped us with any other the concerns we had. I ordered the 144 Steak Sandwich and my family got the tuna and Crab Cake grilled cheese. They were all faboulous and the sizes for some can be initially viewed as small but they all fill you up so don’t be surprised! Recommend going for dinner if you need a more uptake and tranquil dinner that will guarantee satisfaction!
