Excellent and authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is very nice, staff is very welcoming and the food is very tasty and delicious. Chef Daniel has created an amazing menu. I need to come back 5 more times to try all the amazing dishes on his menu. The drinks are extremely well made and delicious. Must try!

Wonderful place to escape for a while. I had very high hopes for this restaurant because I found it to be very original.

It is pricey but it’s worth it.

The calamari aguachile is a must.

I do have to say if you are getting the beef Wellington it will be well done.

Also if you get the steak and marrow tacos ask the waiter to put the guacamole on the side, if not your tacos will be cold once you get them.

We were expecting taco plates to be served, but all our orders came in dutch oven pots. We are so happy with the mindful service and the delectable food. Definitely had a wonderful Sunday brunch experience and will be coming back soon to try other dishes and cocktails. Loved the Mexico City feels.

First time visit. Nice soothing decor and background music. I had a house margarita – very good, fresh, and not too sweet- pretty presentation. Chips arrived with 2 smooth salsas – one firey serrano and the other a tart tomatillo. Had the table side guacamole- it was a huge mound, mixed nicely with salsas. I had the pobalnas enchiladas- mild sauce good flavor. My companion had the Thai mole enchiladas- very good – a little different a little sweeter and a bit more chocolate than what is usual. Still a new place and may have some kinks to work out, but a nice change from Tex-Mex (not knocking Tex-Mex though). Worth a try.

Dinner tonight was a really pleasant experience. It was a bit slow (because it’s unusually code with a threat of freezing rain, which just shuts San Antonio down!) Both our waiter and the bartender/manager were welcoming, helpful and responsive. The drinks (the Mexican Old Fashioned and the Margarita with tajin on the rim, made with Don Julio Reposado) were excellent, and the food was outstanding. It was our first visit, but definitely won’t be our last!

Been wanting to come here ever since they had their soft opening but could not make it. But, today. I was able to. The service was excellent and felt personal. Our waiter was always checking up on us often and answered all of our menu questions and was baked to get us a sandwich that was not on the menu (see photo). The place is big and plenty of space. I liked the window view and being able to see half of the kitchen from our table. We ordered “Mi amigo Escobar” and a speciality sandwich!

The specialty sandwich was really good and told the manager that they should include it in the menu (see photo). We also had a specific beverage made was Jamaican with mint leaves…it was delicious and healthy (see photo).

The only thing that I recommended to our waiter and one of the manager is that the rice, chicharrón, and sausage that came with the “Mi Amigo Escobar” arrived to our table cold. I told him that meats should arrived at the customer’s table hot and not cold. Also, the fried plains, beans, and rice weren’t hot. We ate it because we drove a bit to get there and we were hungry.

They are still brand new and eventually, they’ll get their menu/food perfected. I’ll will come back in the future to see how they have improve their food delivery.

Bathroom-Super clean. They have male & female bathrooms.

Bokoba is an absolute gem that brings a fresh twist to authentic Mexican cuisine. Each bite reflects a passion for traditional flavors while embracing contemporary flair. The welcoming staff adds to the experience, not only ensuring that every need is met with a smile but also sharing their extensive knowledge of the dishes, which truly enhances the dining experience. We cannot wait to bring our friends and family and show off one of our new favorite restaurants in San Antonio!

Last night, I discovered a hidden gem in the Southtown area, Bokobá, a restaurant that definitely redefined what I think of as typical Mexican food. Bokobá elevated traditional dishes with flavors and gastronomic techniques from around the world and they definitely perfected it!

What impressed me most was how effortlessly Bokobá balanced tradition and innovation and as a culinary judgy person who’s traveled the world for the past 15 years, I can honestly say that each bite I took was as vibrant, fresh, and mouthwatering as it looked on my plate! To top it all off, the customer service all around was EXCEPTIONAL and the special piano event for the evening was absolutely amazing!!! If you’re looking for a dining experience that surprises and delights your tastebuds, while staying grounded in rich culinary history, Bokobá is the place to go!!! Even the drinks were very creative, some traditional and out of this world. In my opinion. The price for two people including alcohol at a fine dining restaurant in San Antonio…worth every penny!! I will definitely be back to try everything on your menu Bokobá

This is a fairly new place and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was really lively with a great playlist of music playing. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. I did feel there wasn’t enough on hand staff to cover the crowd but our waiter was very efficient and amazing. The food is hands down delicious. We were a party of six celebrating a birthday. We went in Saturday afternoon and they had an outstanding brunch menu, but also had their dinner menu available. The party had plates from both menus and everyone was impressed. I will note that the brunch menu is significantly cheaper the dinner menu. I personally had the table side guacamole which was prepared perfectly. It had the right amount of zest, spice and flavor. Then sampled all of the complementary salas, which ranged from super spicy to mild. For my entree I had the Chilean Seabass and it was prepared to perfection. The fish was firm and flakey. It had an array of flavors, to include a Korean flare with the amazing Kimchi that accompanied the fish. For the final course we had the key lime pie which was very good. Would definitely recommend this place.

I have been here several times for lunch and it is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I’ve tried the Chile Relleno plate and The Aztec Champion which were delicious and very tasty. Will for sure be back to try dinner!
