This caused a significant inconvenience during my limited lunch break, and I had to find another form of payment to complete the transaction.
After I left, I realized my fries were missing from the bag, so I called the restaurant. When the manager asked the staff about the order, she referred to me as “the one with the issue with the card,” which was inaccurate and uncomfortable to hear. The situation was not a card issue, but rather a restriction on phone payments at the window. I was then told it was “just a small fry” and that I could receive it when I came back.
The overall experience lacked professionalism and customer care. What should have been a quick and routine lunch stop turned into a frustrating experience. I hope this location works on improving communication, consistency, and customer service to ensure future guests feel valued and respected.
but it doesn’t seem like the building placement was done by someone in rock hill. otherwise they woulda said nah bruh that’s a major 4 lane hwy. hard to shout an order to bolinda while tractor trailers are roaring literal feet from you in the drive thru. not the best choice.
I haven’t been here once that something in the order wasn’t messed up or missing or just plain awful… wait no, there was that one time it was good, but I’ll come back to that.
Every time I order the supremes, they are burnt. You can tell they are from lunch (or possibly the night before) This last time I went, the dirty rice was hard as rock and the sausage was all burnt up… scrapping the bottom of the pan I assume?
They’re notorious for leaving something out of the bag be it a straw, a spork, the dipping sauce and on two occasions, the biscuit!
So the only time it was good is the one occasion I asked them to drop some fresh chicken. Why do I need to ask? The employees can see when the chicken is getting old and dry or burnt. You shouldn’t need to be asked to make fresh food… Oh and check and change the syrup in the fountain machine. On several occasions the soda is just carbonated water! Why??
I think if corporate sent some of the York staff over to this location to train its team, it might help. That location in York has never messed up an order. and I’ve never had burnt chicken or hard un edible rice.
Seriously when the best compliment I can give is “The honey mustard tasted good” there’s a problem.
I’m not just leaving this crappy review to be a jerk either.
Bojangles is my favorite fast food restaurant. MY FAVORITE. I rank it higher than Chick-a-freakin’-filet! I guess that’s why I’m being critical here. I’ve tasted the sweet Bo-nectar of the gods, so now I can’t go back to sub-par Jangle juice.
So why do I keep coming back here… I mean, it’s like I said, they’re 5 mins from the house, and I know they COULD be good… just haven’t caught them on a good day yet.
Ok, I’m done ranting… just… just remember you gotta check the bag before you drive off.
Oh, pictures too. I mean I’m not going to take a picture of every box of chicken, but here’s a few highlights from previous visits.
Another update! : my sister in law came up and stopped here on the way to the house. I told her she has to ask for fresh chicken. She asked “are the supremes fresh” the response was “no not really”
LOL! At least they’re honest, but dang, if you know they aren’t fresh, drop some fresh chicken! Don’t wait to be asked!
ANOTHER UPDATE: parents stopped here on the way to visit. They walked in and I said, “oh no, did you check the box before you left?” They didn’t.
The last picture in my photos is of that waste of $22 dollars.
ANOTHER UPDATE: okay so the breakfast crew is good. Breakfast food is usually good. HOWEVER, I dared to try lunch again at this location, and it’s still burnt up tiny chicken nuggets instead of “supremes”. Added a new pic if anyone cares to check it out. So the conclusion is: this location is only good for breakfast. Don’t waste your time or money at lunch or dinner.
Calling corporate (not that they’ll do anything), I’m just done with this location.
Not only was the cook on point but awesome service from bojangles team. Guy with curly hair was super friendly and took care of me. Thank you guys!
