We had steaks and lobster tails. No complaints, but not amazing. Their home made balsamic vinaigrette dressing was the best I’ve had, service was fast and friendly. Not too busy but that’s too be expected at a newly opened supper club on a Wednesday night.
Pretty diverse menu, I’m actually looking forward to coming back for cocktails at their old school bar, and maybe for taco Tuesday night.

Nice atmosphere and very nice server. I ordered a 16 oz prime rib with bacon wrapped shrimp. Shrimp were over-cooked and dry. Prime rib had a funky taste and I was unable to eat it. After speaking with the server, I learned the cook marinates the prime rib in some type of homemade wine marinade. I guess that I am just use to the standard salt and pepper rub prepared prime rib. I have never heard of marinating a prime rib roast. It would have been nice to know this up front. My mother and father each ordered a rack of ribs. Neither of them ate more than a couple bites staring “the bbq sauce just was not good”. This is only the second time ever that I have complained or been so critical about a restaurant meal. I am not that fussy of a person when it comes to food. My meal was just shy of $33.00 and a real disappointment. The server did offer to remove the charge but I declined because I took the very raw (i ordered medium) slab of meat home in hopes of trying to use it for something. We also took both racks of ribs home and will put our own sauce on them. They were very tender.

I absolutely love this place! They have the BEST ribs I’ve ever had. The meat is so tender it falls right off the bone. The sauce is amazing as well. The owner, Juan, is really friendly and cares about his customers. Would definitely recommend trying this restaurant!

I’ve eaten at Bogars a couple of times along with my family and we loved it! They have great steaks and big portions. The Tuesday tacos are also very flavorful and authentic.

So I’m currently choking down a steak but I recently got as takeout. Here’s the story:
I ordered a bone in ribeye but they replaced it with a regular ribeye which was not a big deal. What was the big deal; the steak that I ordered medium was nearly raw on the inside and since it was take out I had at home and had no option but to cook it more so it was edible.
The lobster tail was also under done and barely edible. I ordered a baked potato and they gave me mashed of course when I tried to verify if they included sour cream and fixings for the big potato I was a asured: “yes they checked”. That’s obviously a lie since it was mashed potatoes and not what I asked for. You can’t screw up soup and a side salad so that was fine.
By the way the steak tasted like it was thrown on without any preparation, marination or anything. Of course it also sucks that I had to re-cook it myself to make edible.
If I ate at the restaurant I would of course had a chance to send the steak back and let them know they messed up on the baked potato but since I was already home when I opened up the disappointing dinner, This review is my thank you for ruined dinner.

I do not think that there are any dining establishments in the area that offer coconut fish fry on the Friday fish fry menu, and it is spectacularly delicious at Bogar’s! I started dining at this restaurant when it was originally Kay’s Meat N’ Place, then the infamous Sally’s, and Joe Armelli’s. Bogar’s is carrying on a mighty fine tradition. Upon inquiring if they would consider donating to a local event, there was impr3essively and humbly, no hesitation. This . . . this! is why I dine only at local establishments. Many thanks Bogars!

Bought a Gift Certificate exactly 2 weeks ago. Gave to recipient. They tried to use it and Bogar’s Steak House in Stone Bank is now closed to the public. They had to know they were closing, yet committed fraud and sold me a useless gift certificate. What is wrong with people today?
