Reviews
I stopped in recently and ordered a bowl loaded with perfectly seared chicken, sautéed mushrooms, zucchini, onions, and a glossy, savory sauce that hit that ideal balance of sweet and umami. The rice was fluffy and fresh, not dry or clumpy like you get at a lot of fast-casual spots. The vegetables had real texture—nothing overcooked, nothing soggy. You can tell they actually care about execution. Even the simple details, like the fresh carrot and cabbage garnish, made the bowl feel intentional and complete.
But what really separates BODHI from everywhere else is the people behind it.
Jason and Nancy, the owners, are genuinely some of the kindest business owners you’ll meet. They’re warm, welcoming, and present. You can feel that this isn’t just a restaurant to them—it’s personal. They treat customers like regulars even if it’s your first visit. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it makes a difference.
In a city packed with food options, BODHI stands out because it delivers both quality and heart. Great flavor. Fresh ingredients. Clean presentation. And owners who truly care.
If you’re looking for Asian street-style comfort food done right in Nashville, this spot deserves your support.
I started with an appetizer of fried pork postickers and the prettiest fresh rolls I’ve ever had. My main course was the Pepper Garlic BODHI Bowl with chicken and an upgrade to fried rice—a bit too salty but delicious.
The wait staff was so nice and friendly!
This is definitely my new go-to spot!
Background:
My boyfriend discovered Bodhi and excitedly brought me there for dinner around 6pm two days ago on 8/28/25. We always get our Thai fix at DegThai but they don’t serve my favorite Pad Woon Sen (PWS, stir fried glass noodles)…so, I’ve been hunting a good place down for 5+ years in Nashville area.
Food taste and portion size:
Bodhi’s PWS is super yummy and very perfectly portioned!! I was unsure of their spicy levels so the waitress brought me their chili flakes and chili oil separately. In fact, everything we ordered was fresh and delicious~!!! Piggie Fries and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings make the perfect appetizers; PWS is Pan Fried Noodles (choose glass noodles) and Bodhi Fried Rice can be customized without veggies for my boyfriend. I’m now aiming to try everything on their menu haha
Cocktails and Drinks:
I know I will always order the Bodhi-tini (owner Nancy’s signature creation)!! ❤️ Their server Grace also recommended me this other lemony cocktail which has a refreshing twist of basil~ Their Jack and Coke is standardly good. And their Thai Tea is also amazing!
Space and Ambience:
Their space is very welcoming and very nice with the tall ceiling. There’s a huge L-shaped bar and multiple tables, and a couple of tall tables. The lighting is very comfy and special with a translucent covering (cloud-ish) over the rectangular ceiling lamps. I love the special string lights they have and also the love the ceiling painting of clouds and vines inherited from the previous Italian restaurant space. Oh, their male bathroom is a single room but super spacious haha~
Events:
The owner Nancy mentioned she organized a novel Bodhi-kase a couple days ago: an omakase-inspired course of various Asian street food offerings. And they hosted a fantasy football league at their bar area while we were there. They are very creative and I can’t wait to explore their events in future~!
Owners and staff:
Jason and Nancy are the owners and they are super friendly and lovely!! They moved here from Texas a few years ago and I am sure Bodhi will keep them here. Their staff are Grace and Rhim (hope I got her name right? she moved here from Bangkok a year ago and speaks excellent English~), who are both very efficient, observant, and hardworking.
Conclusion:
We will definitely be back~!!!
My wife took the pineapple fried rice, with veggies. She ate it all. We split veggie spring rolls. They were hot & tasty, quite small. Got tofu fries, tofu cut like crinkle fries. Cute.
Took a chicken rice bowl for our son to-go.
They were tight with their ice.
Sadly, <1 mile from our house, don't see us returning.
The day before yesterday I came in with some friends and I ordered a ginger bowl, it was very well prepared, I liked it very much. However, the next day, yesterday, I brought different friends in, and I ordered the same dish. I’m sorry to say it was pretty disappointing.
The first day it was perfect, plenty of sauce to mix with the rice and the rest of the dish. but yesterday, it was dry, very little sauce and it seemed to be a little less of a serving size-wise. Almost as if whoever put it together really didn’t care as much as whoever prepared it the day before. My thought was that there were two different chefs here! So I asked the waitress if the chef today was the same as the chef yesterday. I was right. There were two different chefs. The first day the owner was the chef, but this day, the chef was someone else.
I really like this place, but that was really disappointing.
I don’t intend to stop coming to the Bodhi, but I will be very curious about who the chef is when I’m there.
We’ve dined in at Bodhi Asian Street Eats multiple times and are always blown away by the flavor, quality, and presentation of every dish. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and perfect for a casual night out or a special meal.
We recently hired them to cater a family event, and the food was the star of the party! Every single guest raved about how delicious everything was — some even went back for thirds. The team was professional, on time, and made the entire catering process seamless from start to finish.
Whether you’re dining in or hosting an event, Bodhi never disappoints. Highly recommend!
