After driving by and noticing the place, I had to give Bode’s a try. It’s been around since the 1950s, and that says a lot to me about a restaurant. The inside was warm and fairly simple, although it was decorated nicely. The staff was friendly despite being somewhat close to closing. I had to try something with their corned beef, and since they were out of the corned beef dinner I settled on the Reuben. It was a good choice. The beef was piled more than an inch high, and it came with thousand island dressing on the side to season however you like. Best of all, it was delicious. I love finding places like this that I haven’t heard of before. It’s definitely worth a try, especially if you like corned beef.

Oh my gosh — what a find!! We’re from Florida and were just passing through when I found this spot on Google, and I am SO glad I did. It’s tucked right in the cutest little downtown area — seriously feels like something out of a Hallmark movie!
We even got to meet the owner, Dave, and he was awesome — super friendly and welcoming. You can tell he loves what he’s doing.
Now the food… WOW!! Bode’s corned beef is next-level good. I got the Reuben and let me just say — BEST I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of Reubens). Perfectly toasted, cheesy, saucy, and loaded with tender corned beef. My husband went with the corned beef and mashed potatoes and he could not stop talking about how good it was. Total comfort food heaven!
The vibe is cozy, the portions are huge, and everything tastes homemade with so much love. 10/10 recommend — I wish we lived closer because I’d be here all the time. So glad we stumbled on this place — definitely worth the stop!

I knew they were remodeling, but learned about the new ownership after. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was packed – but for good reason! Service was friendly and very sweet, food came out piping hot and absolutely delicious.
They have some of the classics, like the Reuben and pastrami, and those are perfect and delicious. But if you want a sleeper pick, I highly recommend the patty melt. A patty melt? At a corned beef place?
Yes. And here’s why. The patty melt itself is very straightforward – smashed patty, lightly sweated down onions, melty American cheese. But each part was done to perfection. The patty was incredibly beefy and perfectly seasoned and cooked, the onions being diced made it a lot easier to eat, and the rye bread was perfectly crisp on the surface and pillowy in between, making it a perfect bread for the melt.
Highly recommend this place, can’t wait to go again!

I have been going to Bode’s over 50 yrs, so I was nervous about new owners. The remodel is very nicely done & it was definitely needed.
As far as my usual, the Rueben sandwich, they nailed it, perfectly! It is still the most tender corn beef & perfectly grilled bread. Thank you to the new owners for preserving this historic place!

Bode’s Corned Beef re-opened in Plymouth under new owners. Today was the second time I went there for lunch (I was there the first day as well). The new owners have done a great job renovating the whole place inside! Place is packed – and you can tell why as soon as you bite into their sandwich. I tried both their Reuben and pastrimi. Meat is juicy and tasteful. You can see them slice their meet right there on demand as orders come in. Staff is working hard and providing great service.

I have lunch there the food was great but the wait staff was impeccable I had been to have Jess she was so helpful and made me feel right at home very personable and thought about my needs before I knew I had them I gave her a really nice tip because she made me the the best spice latte ever she has really good taste. I definitely will be back to see Jess oh yeah and for the food. 10 out of 10 do recommend

The new owners did a wonderful job of remodeling the inside. They got a proper HVAC system, all new kitchen equipment, and it is clean. Me and my family have been going there since the early 70’s. It’s nice to have it back! Thank you
