For those that grew up in the New York/metropolitan area, there is nothing more nostalgic than a good ole fashioned “Bodega” breakfast sandwich on a warm kaiser roll. Executive Chef Alec Gropman brings his childhood favorite to life with a menu full of old school brunch staples, some with a Charleston twist! Bodega is a true “can’t miss” whether it be dining at one of our two locations, a day on the boat, or a lazy Sunday on the couch! For those looking for a nice morning pick me up, our coffee program is 2nd to none! Opening soon at 414 W Coleman Blvd, Mt. Pleasant SC 29464

Love the NYC vibe in this place all the way down to the music. Solid food that is fairly priced. Always enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice. In our most recent visit, one of the dishes we ordered did not come out as expected. Alec went above and beyond to make things right. Top notch service, could not ask for more. We are looking forward to going back again. Highly recommended!

We stopped in for breakfast at Bodega, and it was the perfect way to start our day before heading to the beach. I ordered The Cow and hands down — it’s the best breakfast sammie I’ve had outside of a Long Island deli. Paired it with a caramel and vanilla latte that was just as good. My wife had the Bodega Platter with a Samoa’ That latte, and everything was spot on.
The team was incredibly kind and helpful, creating a laid-back atmosphere filled with families and well-behaved dogs. It felt like the kind of place you want to hang out for a while.
On a marketing side note — their branding is awesome. As someone who works in marketing, I was seriously impressed with their apparel, especially the socks. I couldn’t not buy a hat. Huge kudos to their branding and marketing team. Great food, great people, and a great vibe.

Service was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. There are several gluten free and vegan options. Even with it being on a busy road, it was peaceful sitting on the patio under the tree. I really wanted to like this place but the potatoes in the bowl were very salty and the coffee was bitter. I was with a group of three and everyone agreed. I’m willing to give it another shot and maybe try one of the to-go salads instead.

If you are in the Charleston area and looking for a place that absolutely SLAPS, please go here. It was so good we went TWICE on our girls trip. I got lunch one day and brunch the next. So soooo good. I still dream about it. Alec (who I think was maybe the owner?? manager??) was SO kind. I just so happened to be there on my 30th birthday – which was also Bodega’s 2nd birthday. Alec brought over champagne, juices, and homemade treats (on the house!!) for us to celebrate. Seriously, so generous – we couldn’t stop talking about how nice it was. I can’t recommend this place enough – I wish I could give it 100 stars.

Food was SO GOOD! We passed by this place so many times and finally stopped to add in a new breakfast place to our roster. This place is so so cute and the they even host events out here! My breakfast was really good, the coffee was okay, too floral for me, but overall very good!

Bodega in Mt. Pleasant has such a fun, nostalgic vibe. The menu is full of creative comfort food, pb&j pancakes, deep fried French toast, incredible sandwiches and bowls, all of it feels both playful and delicious.
On top of that, they’ve got the best coffee selection around, which makes it just as much a breakfast spot as it is a go-to for lunch. It’s one of those places you leave already thinking about what you’ll try next time.

We were so happy that we ended up at Bodega for breakfast today! We originally tried to go to Vicious Biscuit, but the line was crazy long. As fate would have it, we found Bodega right across the street and pulled right into a parking spot.
The whole experience was fantastic, from the cool vibe to the amazing food. The avocado toast was out of this world—seriously the best I’ve ever had. We also got the short stack with chocolate chips and the Bodega Breakfast, and everything was delicious. My kids loved their meals, and the bacon was amazing.
It was a blessing in disguise that our original plans didn’t work out. We will definitely be back before our vacation is over!
The only thing I’d have to say for some constructive criticism is that I thought the short short stack needed at least double the amount of chocolate chips. They still get five stars.

This place was amazing! DO NOT MISS OUT- GO HERE! The owner met us at the front, introducing himself and greeting us with mini donuts! He was very kind- he walked us in and gave us a brief “tour” of where and described the ordering process. The food we ordered was so GOOD and filling, my husband got the Arthur ave sandwich and I got the Cali bowl. Delicious, and totally recommend. The atmosphere was very pleasant too. It’s very bright and happy feeling! And while we were enjoying our food the owner stopped by and gave us 2 donuts and banana pudding on the house 🙂 overall this was a lovely experience and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the Charleston area!

First off happy new year to all. Today visited this absolutely wonderful and inviting restaurant again and placed a breakfast order for my entire crew at work well the crew that decided to show up and of course no surprise not disappointed in the least. Vonny and Ella are super professional inviting and amazing at their craft. Everyone ofy workers absolutely loved the food (DUHHHH) their food is great. But the staff and environment is what keeps me coming back. Suggestion to management is to award your crew with perhaps a gift card or financial pat on the back for how amazing they are. The food and atmosphere gets people there but your staff and their service is what gets them coming back. Yet again kudos to vonny and Ella and the nameless staff behind the curtain that make amazing food. Hope the owner of this establishment sees this and personally extends their gratitude to their staff who keep this establishment second to none. Happy new year to all and again thank u to the incredible staff at bodega. Crushing the competition one smile and sandwich at a time. Keep up the great work in 2026. Thank you as always
