Overall, not a great experience with the food at Bode Grays.
We started with the SHRIMP SCAMPI which we enjoyed for the most part, shrimp were clean and cooked nicely.
The MARGARITA PIZZA was just ok. The dough and crust were fine but half of the pizza didn’t have mozzarella on it and it barely had any basil.
We shared the CACIO E PEPE and it was very bad. The sauce had completely separated and it was just a bowl of congealed cheese oil with hardly any pepper. It had gummed up so much you could basically pick up the entire ball of pasta with one fork. We both took a couple bites and had to send it back.
We ended on the TIRAMISU which was actually very nice. The mascarpone cream was light and rounded out the coffee flavor nicely.

I also want to make sure I mention that the service we had was very good. He was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. He even comped our dessert because of the issue with the pasta, which he didn’t have to do, so we thought that was very thoughtful!
If we do go back, it will be to the Brass Hat down stairs for appetizers and cocktails.

We visited this restaurant today and the experience was absolutely amazing. The service was excellent — very friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The place is very cozy, beautiful, and welcoming.
The food is incredibly delicious, and the prices are very good for the quality they offer. We tried the tomato soup, which was really, really good, and the pizzas are without a doubt highly recommended.
We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!

Absolutely incredible service and delicious food. The smoked duck is out of this world. And the pizza is some of the best I’ve had. I’ve had a lot of wood fire pizza, but this came out hot, burnt just the right amount. I got the forager and the mushrooms were crisped, the whipped got cheese was spectacular, and the egg was runny. The roasted Cauliflower was also yummy and the server was so friendly, helpful, cool, and amazing. The dessert is all made in house and the chocolate cake was very moist.

I don’t usually leave reviews because I am picky. I can’t say enough about our experience. The ravioli was amazing and so were the oysters. Took the pizza to go and it was very good too. Side note the music was the 90’s rock, and different in a good way. Give it a try, so worth it.

We went to Bodie Gray’s last night for my wife’s birthday. Dinner was absolutely delicious.
We ended up getting the wagyu steak and tortellini as entrees. The steak was expertly prepared and incredibly tender. The tortellini was delicious and creamy. My personal tastes (and my wife’s) would like a little spice to the tortellini.
For the kids we got the meatball pizza which was also delicious. They enjoyed seeing the staff, prepare the pizza and loaded into the oven.
For a shareable, we got the duck focaccia which was delicious. Some of the best duck I have ever had.
Our server was Tiffany. She was absolutely amazing. She engaged with my wife and kids, and was very personable. Thank you, Tiffany!

On a whim, we decided to give Bodie Gray’s a try, and we’re thrilled we did! We started with the smoked duck starter and old fashioned cocktail, and the sweet and smoky flavors blended beautifully. I’m usually not fond of “funky cheese,” but the pairing of tangy cheese with the salty duck and sweet cherries was out of this park.
My wife ordered the prosciutto pizza, while I went for the harissa lamb sausage. Although I thought mine was slightly superior, we both agreed that they were outstanding. The pizzas had a crispy crust and harmonious flavors, leaving us completely satisfied.
The portions were generous, and we’d recommend sharing the pizza unless you want leftovers. Overall, we had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to our next visit

Came here for dinner after a beautiful evening exploring Waconia wineries. One of the locals we talked to recommended this place, and for us to try the meatballs over polenta and broccolini. So, we ordered those. I don’t usually like meatballs or polenta, but these were very good and made for sharing. Will I be craving either one from now on? No, but I will order it again here. We also had a pizza, which had a great crust and a piccatta which was good, too. The place is gorgeous and has a nice atmosphere. If I were in the area, I’d come back and try their other menu items.

I would say I’m not the easiest person to please when it comes to a good restaurant all around. We were very, VERY happy with our amazing service. And GREAT food from the scratch kitchen, we ordered an appetizer, salad, pizza, and dessert! And I’m so pleased to say it was all soooo good! We’ll definitely be going back there soon! And I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Thank you for finally adding a good restaurant to waconia!

Enjoyed the Fall Themed “Spookeasy” just a few fun Halloween decorations to bring in the vibe. The restaurant was easy to get to and had plenty of street parking nearby. Wednesday night it was pretty light on crowds so we only had a few others down in the space with us. Cocktails were inventive and delicious they also had seasonal drinks. Enjoyed the focaccia, burrata and pomegranate salad to start. Everyone enjoyed their entrees including Waygu steak, ravioli, pizza and pasta dishes. Plenty of space for a group of 8 downstairs. Food was the right amount for the serving size. Left satisfied but will note the menu has a lot of pesto, tomato, same ingredients – but used in a different preparation.

Great date night spot. We had the Italian Old Fashioned, Caberne wine, the smoked duck, and the steak ($29 option). We liked everything. The price for us is maybe a once a year experience, though, as it adds up quick.
I will say that our waiter recommended a drink to my wife, who didn’t care for it, and they willingly replaced it with a wine she preferred for no charge. Huge plus.
