The dumpling and the fried rice were simply amazing. For express service the quality of the food here is top choice.
This place is off the beaten path, literally. You have to hit Houston’s Downtown tunnels to sit down or stop in for take-out. Submerge yourself in the delicacies they have to offer below ground level.

I got the Pho beef and I would have to say this by far is so dissatisfying, I wanted to come in for a nice fresh warm Pho and I ended back at the office with that looks like frozen reheated meat, the meat was so rubbery I couldn’t even chew without hearing squeaking, lacks tons of flavor! If you like noodles with rubbery meat and salted water this place is for you.

I’d have to say my favorite about the place is the egg rolls with the Bodard sauce. The Bodard rolls pictured are huge and taste ok. They are filling as well.

If I would have known that the “fried” rice would be so bland, I would have asked for extra soy sauce. The chicken resting on top of it was pretty good. The egg roll was barely worth the $1.

I’ve been coming here for about a year now. The food has been good but the girl that works at the register needs to improve her customer service skills… today my co workers and I went to get some food and she was obviously having a less than pleasant day for whatever reason. She rolled her eyes at the guest in front of us. I’ve always ordered the pork dumplings and on a few occasions that I’ve gone, the same girl has told me that they are out. Understandable since I think it’s one of the best items on their menu so every time I go now, I ask if they have the dumplings. I get to the front of the line today and ask her if she has the pork dumplings today which she replied “we always have dumplings” in the snippiest tone under her breath. When I asked her to repeat herself to make sure I heard exactly what she had just said, she replied “yes we have dumplings” in a nicer tone because she I knew I had heard her original response. This has not been the first interaction with this woman where I’ve left feeling slightly frustrated. She’s always on her phone, she’s given my order away to other guests at least 3 times, she has also answered her cell phone while I’m ordering as well. I’m a pretty understanding person after working in the service industry for 12 years and I keep coming back because I do enjoy the food. I understand people have rough days, but today’s experience was one that I unfortunately cannot ignore.

Danny has successfully brought a taste of Vietnam to Houston: Bodard Express is an quick and excellent alternative to Fuddruckers or Subway under 1100 Louisiana – vermicelli, Bahn Mi’s, and egg rolls are all great. I often stop by early afternoon for a strong Vietnamese iced coffee (super strong).

Food is decent and ill give credit where due- the Management did call back regarding a mistake in the order, but I’ve been coming here for years and the only cashier lady hates her job and everyone around her. We called and were told “that’s just the way she is.” Management clearly doesn’t care about who engages with their customers. That’s the last time I go here. Much better options nearby – Drunken Pho, Top taste. All just as good without the nasty cashier with an ugly attitude.

The food is always fresh and refreshing!! Great chicken wings. If I would’ve known they were this good I would’ve ordered more. The seasoning for their pork is spot on delicious. The prices are reasonable and good portions.
