The moist brisket is outstanding. Just melts in your mouth, and you really don’t need any sauce. It’s that good. Right on par with Franklin’s or the famous places in Lockhart. Sausage has a beefy flavor that I like.

So glad we were able to stop in and try it. Food was absolutely delicious and the decor was so cute. We loved it! Staff was nice and friendly. We had seen the signs on I-20 before but had never been able to stop. It definitely did not disappoint!! Wish they were closer so we could have it again but at least now we know where to stop on road trips through East Texas.

The scrumptious Bar-B-Q will have you coming back again and again.
For me, a restaurant has to pass the “smell test” before I’ll eat there. The tantalizing scent wafting from this Bodacious location will draw you in. At lunch, when I usually come here, there will probably be a short queue, but it’s definitely worth the wait. You can peruse the menu board or enjoy the many artifacts lining the walls to pass the time before you order.
My favorites are the Sloppy Joe, the sliced beef, and the ribs. The Sloppy Joe is an excellent sandwich. Rich in flavor yet easy on the pocketbook. The scrumptious ribs are better here than at any other Bodacious location in the Longview area.
The service is quick and friendly, the servings are heaping, and the atmosphere is unique. Be sure to check out the wall art while you are here.

The food is good and fresh my new favorite is the Chipotle corn with meat I got mine with sausage all I was missing was some cornbread this would be really good come winter!!!

Nice clean establishment. If I’m not mistaken, it’s run and operated by the owners. I ordered a 2 meat plate for wifey. It consisted of their homemade sausage, sliced brisket, potato salad, and beans. Homerun on the sausage, they put love into them. Brisket was nice and moist. Her sides were good as well. I got a 3 meat plate all ribs. Sides of coleslaw and mac. The mac was cheesey and good. We will be back. Folks, let’s support this place.
Another good sign was that a guy came in for the 2nd or 3rd time that day. He wanted a baked potato, which was sold out. The potatoes must be good. I’ll be sure to try them next time. They also sell a brisket chili dish. I want some.

Grabbed the pitmaster from Riverport Bar-B-Que in Jefferson and headed to Hallsville for some Bodacious BBQ. Just a fabulous job done by Pitmaster Gabriel Ritter and crew. Sausage is the best I’ve ever had. Brisket and ribs are exceptional and that brisket deviled egg is one of the best single bites in my life. Great stuff!!

Texas twinkie Boudin OMG !!!! Brisket is so savory & just the right about of the fat end for that perfect bite on a chopped beef. Stuffed peppers, Brisket deviled eggs. Just do yourself a favor and stop in.
