Featured as one of Bon Appétit’s best 10 new restaurants in America 2022, Bocadillo Market by Chef James Martin is inspired by Spanish techniques and highlights similarities between Spanish dishes—particularly those brought over by the Moors of North Africa—and his Southern heritage. Bocadillo Market is located in West Town. We are open for morning coffee and delicious churros & chocolate, signature almond pie, saffron chocolate chip cookies, and banana walnut & date bread inspired by Spain. Once our doors are open you can explore the market which focuses on pantry food items imported from Spain. Lunch is a warm and welcoming counter service with Spanish sandwiches.

Dessert was a standout as well, the chocolate cake was rich without being overly sweet, beautifully balanced by the berry and pumpkin. Beyond the food, we loved the family-style dining experience, it created a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and we even made some new friends along the way.
An unforgettable meal all around. Kudos to Chef James and his crew. We’ll definitely be back very soon.
Truly an experience.
I barely got any photos of the delicious plating but can’t wait to go again!
The smoked lamb is tender, rich and saucy, and the sandwich has a perfect mix of herby (cilantro), acid (pickled green beans), and crunch (carrots). The sauce soaks into the bread but it still retains a really nice crunch. It’s absolutely worth the price, especially considering it came with patatas bravas (which itself was the best version of the dish I’ve ever had). I also had a slice of their pumpkin almond cake, which was also excellent
Chef James was working the counter, and he introduced himself to everyone who walked in and was eager to strike up a conversation. He couldn’t have been nicer, and is definitely part of the reason I’ll be back real soon- hopefully for one of their upcoming dinners
