Took my family here on a Friday night for dinner with pretty low expectations and unfortunately they weren’t met. From ordering to getting food was over an hour, and when the food came out it was all quite cold. The server explained that it was fault of the kitchen and they were behind due to customer volume. She was kind enough to comp one of the cold chicken taco meals so I appreciate their consideration.

We decided to have dinner here since we were in the area on a vacation day, but not having done any planning for dinner we saw the reviews on Google and it seemed to be a good choice.
The parking lot was just about full but there was a spot for us. There was a wait for an outside table but we could be seated immediately inside if we choose, and so we were seated at a high table by the front windows.
It was pretty busy in there but the waitress seemed to handle it all well and got our drinks and took our order. It didn’t take long and we got our food. Everything looked great and it all came at the same time and was hot, even though we ordered a mix from the appetizer menu and a couple other main dish items to have them all together.
Everything we had was very tasty and cooked well. We ordered jalapeño Rangoon, Shark Bites, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Seafood Chowder, and the pick 3 Combo Fried Seafood Dinner. I doubt that would have been more satisfied with any other choice.
Definitely recommend and would go back when in that area again.

I’m at the point where going out to eat is a struggle because I’m always disappointed and feeling like I could have cooked better at home.
This place did not disappoint! The jalapeño rangoons are a must! I got the seafood casserole and hubby got the baked stuffed haddock with broccoli and a loaded baked potato. No notes. Very satisfied customers!

This was my first visit to Maine during a business trip, and since my company is conveniently located near this restaurant, my boss highly recommended their seafood. We chose to have lunch here, arriving slightly past noon on a Friday, and were pleasantly surprised to find a brief wait for a table. To me, this signaled a positive sign.
For my meal, I indulged in 6 oysters, shrimp cocktails, bacon-wrapped scallops, and a lobster roll. I must admit that the seafood here surpassed my expectations in terms of taste and quality. I’m thoroughly convinced that this place knows its seafood well, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
What sets this establishment apart is that it’s not just a restaurant; it also operates as a seafood market. People can stop by to purchase fresh seafood to enjoy at home. During our meal, I noticed several customers dropping by to buy seafood for later. Additionally, the spacious parking lot adds to the convenience.
Our waitress was remarkably attentive and detailed. She took the time to explain any dish modifications and provided alternative options when needed. Her attention to detail was commendable, and it enhanced our dining experience.
All in all, I would confidently give this place a 5-star rating. I’ll definitely make a return visit whenever I have the opportunity and will wholeheartedly recommend it to my friends.

Update on 6/12/2025.
Back at Bob’s Seafood after 16 months, and it’s still fantastic since my last visit, making this my second time, and they continue to impress.
Our party of four arrived around 12:40 PM, and our table was ready instantly. While it took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, the wait was absolutely worth it. We ordered the Beet Salad, the Signature Salad with Scallops, and the Ahi Tuna Steak Sandwich. All were delicious!
My Signature Salad with Scallops was truly exceptional – easily one of the best salads I’ve ever had. It’s clear Bob’s Seafood has maintained its great performance. Consistently excellent food.
Another solid 5/5 from me! Highly recommend.

Firstly, there are 2 main seating areas, Bobs Seafood Market side and Tap Room side. It’s kind of confusing but they are all the same restaurant. During the good weather there is also seating outside through the Tap Room. The Market side seating is cozy and quieter, the Tap Room side is spacious and noisy as the bar is also in the main part of the restaurant. It may be quieter in the booths, but we were seated right next to the bar. Still, it was well worth it.

We got the scallops wrapped in bacon for the appetizer. They were perfect and I mean PERFECT. The bacon was cooked through all the way around and the scallops were cooked to just the right amount of done, not rubbery at all, they were succulent and yummy. Next time I might just get these and a salad.

The Hub got 10 huge fried shrimp with what tasted like homemade cocktail sauce and homemade crispy fries. He loved it all including the slaw which he said was fresh and crispy.

I got the fried clams, small, sweet and crispy, yummy. The haddock was really fresh, and the coconut shrimp were delicious. I had to take those home for lunch the next day though and they were just as good cold. The salad was a simple side salad but was fresh and appealing.

I have to give a shout out to our server Danica, she was amazing, very attentive and ran around like the Ever-Ready bunny. Oh to be young and have that much energy!!!

Been here a couple of times and I am always impressed. The atmosphere, service, and food is all amazing. We have the House Signature salad, Jalapeno Crab Rangoons, and Potato Skins. Everything was amazing, especially the Rangoons. Our waitress Hayley was great. Had the Blueberry Lemonade and Paloma cocktails — so freaking good. Sometimes there is a wait, but it is worth it. One of the only places you can get higher quality of food in Windham.

We got there basically at the last minute from Ohio, eager to grab some fresh seafood that we really can’t get near us. The person who helped us was so nice, even though everything was pretty well put away, he happily helped facilitate my requests. We did not have the time to eat there, but the restaurant part looked awesome as well. We were more than satisfied with the fresh seafood we purchased! Thank you!

Since moving from Maine over 10 yrs ago, returning for a visit means seafood takes priority. Even though we got fresh seafood around Miami and now in NC, it’s clearly not all fresh and variety is limited. Swordfish has been my favorite since I was just kid outside of Boston. Not easy to find on menus. One place in Ft. Lauderdale had it occasionally and it was ok. Legal’s was always a favorite when in Boston. Visiting family, Bobs was suggested. So glad we did. Nothing fancy, pretty barebones really. But every seafood dish was great. Nothing heavily seasoned, all very basic. But the swordfish was excellent, tender, juicy, cooked perfectly. My wife had crab rolls that were hugely stuffed with crab and a light amount of mayo. Sides were good too. It was so good we drove over for another meal. Went with clam strips this time and now realize what I thought were fresh back in NC are clearly frozen. These were so far superior it took me back to the hole in the wall my family enjoyed when I was a kid. So tender and nicely fried, not a bit of greasy taste. Nothing fancy here. Just good. Wish I had more time to try some other items.
