Great food with great views! We had lunch here and between us tried the Bob Dog, some plain hot dogs with ketchup, a tenderloin, chicken strips, and fries and it was all delicious. The guy who took our order was polite and helpful, and our food was hot and fresh. And it was so fun seeing the Queen II from our table on the patio!

I have been coming to Bobs for years, and it’s my absolute favorite place to eat in Okoboji. So good in fact, I mentioned it in my wedding vows. If you’re not a picky eater, order a Bob Dog with everything on it, cheese curds and a root beer. You’ll be glad you did.

I can’t speak about the food, but the service was really helpful and friendly with my wife—offering to stay open a little late during a movie in the park.
We got ice cream, and it was like a flash back to my childhood. To be fair, it was a kids movie that night. The flavor was delicious—I got the mocha—and the price was reasonable for the area. And who doesn’t like ice cream on the beach!?

Would not recommend. No customer service. What a circus. The kids taking orders can’t seem to get the whole order correct. Wait times for fried food and hotdogs are about 20-25min. They are charging people for ketchup on food. Be careful ordering chicken strips. They say the small order has 3 strips. It’s actually 2 small strips cut in half. The guy inside the stand (assuming the manager) his response to me asking for my third chicken strip was: “ I cut them in half to make sure that they are cooked and that is what I count as three strips”. The guy didn’t acknowledge the fact that his workers made a mistake and did not want to rectify any issue on their part. Disappointed to say the least.

Overpriced. Tried to charge $1.00 to replace ketchup and mustard with mayo. Hot dogs are lower quality than years past. Avoid.

The food here is incredible and the scenery is second to none here in Iowa. I would highly recommend coming here during the summer months when it’s warm.
This place is a core memory for the kid in me, can’t wait to come back.

Love me a Bob Dog, but it’s consistently, unreasonably S L O W! Twenty-five minutes for a hot dog and fries?? Every time it takes that long. I can get a steak faster than that. And the boy brought it out in his hands… no tray, no bag. A little stream lining and training would go a long way

Fun little place. Generic NC weiners, but fully-loaded with meat and onions make it pretty tasty!

They make decent malts (the only real malt option around), the dogs are good. Unfortunately, Customer Service isn’t much of a thing here (summer job at a fast food stand without real direction,) but that seems to be OK. The business could stand to modernize certain aspects which could greatly improve the customer experience and likely improve overall business. Case in point, Bob’s does not publish up to date business hours online. We’ve found it’s best just to stop and get a malt when you’re passing by and see they’re open rather than planning to cross the lake in hopes that they’ll be open…they won’t be.

Hot dogs are the best ever. Can’t wait to come home from Texas to have Bob dog. Owners are terrific. Going there for our years. The Best.
