Consistently Great Food & Friendly Service at Birch Bay Bob’s.
We’ve been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience! The food is always delicious, and the service is super friendly—they were especially great with our two kids.
This time we had the seafood platter (so good!), the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich with to die for potato salad, and our kids shared the kids burger with leftovers to spare. The coconut margarita and Hugo spritz were both fantastic.
It’s the perfect spot to hit after a fun beach day, with easy parking and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

Food was okay, but the service was terrible. Ordered a burger well done, came raw. Informed the waitress, they just reheated it. Ask for it to be remaid, the manager became very rude, like it was our fault the food was not made right, and pretty much ignored for the rest of the night. Then it took almost 20min for the burger to come out. The cherry on top was the manager had comped the burger on our bill, but because we ask for them to remake it, she re charged it to the bill. And left the comp and recharge on the bill for us to see it. We were not expecting it to be comped, but to comp it and add it back on seems spiteful.

We tried Bob’s Burgers & Brew for the first time while in the area for work, and it was a great experience. We ordered Bob’s Bonanza Burger and a Crispy Chicken Salad. The burger was delicious, and the yam fries we got as a substitute were excellent. The salad was fresh and tasty too.
We sat outside in the courtyard, which was peaceful and added to the experience. It also seems like a dog-friendly spot, as we saw a guest with their dog dining outside. The service was good, and the portions were generous. Overall, a lovely visit!

We have been going down to Bob’s burger each time we got to the States. Love the food. The burgers are amazing. Wife and I love the Hawaiian burger. Patty is cooked to perfection, love the Jo Jo’s. The fish and chips were also absolutely Delish! Our server (I think her name was Ariana) was absolutely amazing. She was very friendly and quick . Can’t wait to go back again

Service is always friendly, and the menu has something for everyone- a very broad selection of choices including their famous “squirrel” sandwich now available in “chipmunk” size on the lunch menu (don’t worry, it is beef and not rodent). The bar also has a wide and full range of liquor and beer.

Second time trying Bob’s Burgers, and I wasn’t impressed. We were seated by the hottest fireplace. Not sure why you’d seat a family on a warm day next to a fireplace. Then, when I asked what type of milk they serve, the waitress seem confused. We are Canadian and our milk is very different. and I was concerned because my son reacts to any other milk besides skim or 2% Then our food took forever to get there. Our child’s food arrived way before ours and he was done by the time we got ours bite into my burger and it’s pink won’t be going back not too pleased.

This Bob’s Burgers has its own building and is quite nice. The atmosphere is welcoming and spacious. Food is delicious and friendly staff. I’ve been to a few of the other Bob’s Burgers in a whatcom country, and I would say this one is the nicest one when compared to Bellingham locations as far as layout and atmosphere. Would recommend.

My cousin and I both had a great experience at Bob’s Burgers & Brews in Birch Bay last night, largely thanks to our server, Ariana.
Ariana was friendly, attentive, and somehow always showed up right when we needed something—either she has excellent timing or a sixth sense for empty glasses (refilled our sodas at least 3 times). Drinks stayed full, food came out hot, and everything ran smoothly.
She kept things professional while still being personable and easy to joke with, which made the meal feel relaxed instead of rushed. The food was great, but the service is what really made us want to order more (cousin ordered a second burger after the first…) Make sure you order the Molten Lava Cake dessert with ice cream!
If you’re hoping for a meal where nothing goes wrong and someone actually seems happy to be helping you, ask for Ariana. Five stars and zero regrets. Will be back soon and hungry for more.
