Our receipt amount and our expected charge for our order didn’t match, like a $6 difference. I had to repeat “Just the burger, not the meal please” like twice before he corrected it when ordering, so I just went back up and asked if he could please walk me through what our charges were… $2.99 up charge for large, plus $.50 for fry sauce (FRY SAUCE NOT INCLUDED WITH FRIES!!!), but even after adding the extra charges the amount didn’t add up. Even after I added the amounts and tax and tip. I showed him as I added it up on the calculator, he just gave a guttural noise and pointedly ignored my inquiry and left me standing at the counter.
Outside of not being willing to discuss my being charged the wrong amount, and the poor customer service, the food was pretty good for mall fare. The Philly Cheesesteak was well seasoned, good meat/veggie/cheese ratio and a perfectly textured roll. Fries were great! Fry sauce so-so, but could be that I’m pretty unhappy that ONE fry sauce isn’t included (lg fry is $4.99!!!). Burger was tasty, but a little peppery.

Bob’s Burgers was decent! I had tried them when they first opened years ago, but I don’t remember the experience.
My partner and I had Bob’s Burgers before seeing a movie at the mall on a Wednesday.
There was only one lady there working. She was very kind and friendly, not standoffish at all.
She got our order correct, which is kind of a big deal because I’m picky and take a lot of stuff off.
I will say my only complaint is that after our payment was collected she went back to make our food and only put a glove on one hand.
I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and added bacon but removed all the veg, except for the mushrooms, and asked for no sauce. They make some sort of house sauce they put on their burgers. The burger was good, and the bacon was awesome!
I was a little thrown off that on top of the cheese, they use some sort of seasoning. I personally feel that the burger would have been better without the extra seasoning.
Other than that, I did think not was a good burger.
My partner ordered the double burger and had everything on it, except for tomatoes. Her burger had the same odd seasoning on top of the cheese and the house sauce.
My partner did not really like the burger. Something about the beef gives it a different, almost softer texture and consistency.
I do agree that the beef is softer than what I am used to.
Oh, it was also kind of weird. The lady was the only one there when we ordered. She collected our payment and went right in the back to cook, (again only putting a glove on one hand), but part way through cooking a guy came into the kitchen and was on his phone the whole time. He went and got himself a drink and some fries that the lady was making for our order, and he just sat in the back and started eating and watching his phone.
I thought that was just weird, also considering that we hadn’t gotten our drink yet. I just thought that he could have helped with something so simple as we were waiting.

Update 5/29/24:
Tried the chicken sandwich today for the first time. Wish I would have sooner! Definitely worth adding cheese in my opinion. Still the best and tastiest bargain in the mall. Thank you so much !

The chicken nuggets, even though it’s for kids — 10/10 I can’t get over how delicious they are.
The staff is genuine, happy and superb at their jobs!! Super grateful for this place , wish they’d open back at the Layton hills mall.

Fairly decent place with tasty food, although it took a really long time to get our food. It seemed there was just one guy running the whole kitchen and a little gal out front manning the counter. My wife loves this place from her college days and we stopped in to introduce myself to it and allow her to reminisce. I found the bacon cheese burger a little dry, but tasty. The bacon was very crispy and delicious. I found the fries a little over done and hard, but as I ate these crinkle cut fries, I began to enjoy their durability. It was a good tasting meal, but it did not live up to the hype my wife had given nor did it overly impress me. I would eat here again though.

Their burger is easily as good as any gourmet burgers joint in the area. Probably better. No foofoo lettuce on this thing…just iceberg. It was fantastic. Wavy fries were cooked perfectly. Fry sauce is yummy and unique. I want the recipe.
Now the warning: times have changed. Probably all of us know that. This meal (pictured) was over $17. Soda refills are $.99. I think I paid extra for the fry sauce, but I don’t care. If you can get on board with that, you will really enjoy this place. Server was friendly and courteous. Cook, possibly owner, was nice to talk with. With all the restaurants disappearing in the mall, I’m glad Bob’s Burgers has been able to stick around. I may come back just for dinner, not only when I’m shopping. Highly recommended.

This place is my favorite since a kid. Ive been coming here forever and the owner is a great guy. give it a try if your going to the mall definitely worth it. It doesnt look like anything special but it seriously is. in my opinion one of the only good burger places around the area left.

I was all set to give them a 5- star review all the way down until the fries. What you see in the picture is how many fries I got. Now, to be fair, and as the young man said, “that’s the kid’s meal” however, there were not even 10 fries there. It didn’t come even CLOSE to the top of the container. So, bummer. Anyway, the burger was delicious. The fries were tasty, but not nearly enough of them even though “that’s the kid’s meal”. The service was exceptional. I recommend it, just don’t get the kids meal if you want to enjoy fries.

I came here because of how it shared a name with a television series I enjoy watching with my dad, and I am glad I did. This may not be my number one burger place in the whole world, but it is still a really good burger.
