I was in dire need of some barbecue so I thought I’d give it a try. The staff was friendly, the food was above average. The interior of the dining area was poorly lit. It was like stepping back into the 70s with the decor. I would go again but get my order to go next time.

Nasty! Most of the food I chose was spoiled or dry. The hushpuppies were not fully cooked! When I went to get a salad there were flies in the food! Eat at your own risk!

This review is after one visit only. I was in the mood for some barbecue, and didn’t want to drive too far. I had seen Bob’s but never thought much of it. The building is unassuming, a bit small, and old. Inside isn’t a lot different. It feels like an old school barbecue joint.
Wow was that barbecue sandwich good! I wanted to try a few sides, but there was a line forming behind me, so I just stick with crinkle fruits and hush puppies. The former weren’t anything special. The hush puppies were spot on – cooked just the right amount, flavored well, and that two-bite size that just works.
The barbecue was chopped with vinegar based sauce. The bun was fresh and portion was generous. It seemed like very little in the way of fat and filler – all good meat. And the price was reasonable – about $4 for a huge sandwich.
One extra note – everyone behind me in line got pie, so that must be a thing. Gotta go back!

The women taking/fulfilling orders were not friendly, although the man taking the money was very nice. The portions were large but the food just wasn’t that good. The chopped pork didn’t have any smoky flavor and the mac and cheese literally had no flavor at all. The decor is stuck in the 70’s which didn’t bother me in the least it was reminiscent of the supper clubs my grandparents took me to as a child but it seemed as though the A/C had not been replaced since then either. I could chalk the pork up to just being not my taste but to have the restaurant be so hot it’s impossible to enjoy your meal just sucks. Maybe I’d try something else when the weather cools down.

Oh, my word, the chicken salad here is out of this world. I’m pretty picky about chicken salad, and I was very happy with my sandwich. Except one thing–it was HUGE! I had no idea how much food I was getting. I ate about 1/3 of it between meetings, and gave the rest to my daughter for her dinner that night. We were very happy girls! I’ll definitely be back, with a bigger appetite next time! Which I hope is soon!!

The BBQ at Bob’s was simple, yet tasty. The pork BBQ was flavorful, the cole slaw just right, and the hush puppies were excellent. I am not a fan of Brunswick Stew, but Bob’s was good.
I definitely recommend it, especially if you are just passing through on I85. It is just off the highway.

The food is good! The new employee’s are friendly, the ones that have been there for ever, never smile, not pleasant, not helpful and never say thank you.
Interior, it is extremely dated and the lighting is terrible.
The restrooms, really need some repair and updating.

Best BBQ in town, been coming here for years. Cat fish is great BBQ is the best Ive ever had, hushpuppies are a must try,the Brunswick stew is the best a family favorite .. Friendly service and people. And if your known around these parts you just might see someone you know.
