Loved this little hole in the wall near School of Mines in Golden. Especially the punk rock inspired decor.

It was easy to order what we wanted by filling out the wrappers and the service was friendly without feeling fake! Thank you

I had a really tasty chicken burger and the kid got a cheeseburger. Both were delicious, as were our sweet potato fries.

Lots of students and locals were in there, which I always appreciate when visiting a new restaurant. Note: 20% off on Tuesdays for students (10% otherwise) which applied to my HS kiddo as well as the local college students.

Quit different from expectation.
Very small shop, 2 manning the food prep, 1 cashier and 1 food service, so it has very limited and slow service.
The whole bread is better if don’t want to be too full as the wheat bread make it fills a bit full to finish. Daily specials usually an easy choice.
The patty is dry seasoned before grill to give it better favor and did makes it tasty
Orion rings is crispy but very heavy on the breading which covered the onions favors
The ordering process start with filling a pocket for the bread, type of meat, and sides. Line up to the cashier that like to chatting (even when there is a long line), manually enter all that marked on the sleeve (which took a bit time) and then repeat back one by one for confirmation. It takes time on top of the chatting, good to check for error, but should have more efficient way. Specially the sleeve was part of the packing of the hamburger!!!
In short, the loneliness in part created by the process which makes the wait longer and more frequent.

Burger was not bad, however might not worth the long wait, specially for that artificial long

A delight – Best burger this side of the Rockies! A true experience – from chit chatting with the cashier to hearing the famous name attached to your order and then the first bite… You’ll thank yourself for coming here.

Inside can get a bit crammed but if it’s a nice warm day, take a seat at one of the outdoor tables.

I’m looking forward to this spot in the Summer!

The burgers are top notch, very quick service as well, we filled out our burger sleaves with our orders and the burgers were out in minutes. The onion rings were hot and fresh too, 10/10 would recomend

Burgers were tasty. Place was crowded but chill. We were from out of town and randomly chose Atomic Burgers. We were impressed by the food on our first visit. Our cashier friendly, and the food was hot. Small casual place.

I love the self-serve sauce station. The staff clearly know what they are doing and get the food out fast. The line was consistently out the door. The burgers were great, but not the best I’ve had. The double burger comes with two nicely sized patties—not small but not massive. If you’re not a big eater, I’d stick with the single patty burger. They cook all burgers medium well which is disappointing since I prefer the medium rare side. They definitely don’t skimp on the toppings; we appreciated the amount of banana peppers and pickles they gave. The gluten free bun was different from most I’ve had in a great way. Very soft and tasty. I have a gluten sensitivity, and they asked if it was a preference or an allergy, then explained they use a separate space and handling techniques for those with celiac. The fries weren’t bad, but they didn’t leave me craving more. They have a good amount of patio seating which is nice; the inside is small, simple, and a bit dark. Total cost was $56 for 2 people which isn’t cheap for a burger joint. Given the price and not being blown away, I’d check out other burger spots before making my way back.

Man this place is such a vibe. When you enter bobs you are asked to fill out what you want on your burger via paperbags and label on a table. Once ready you hand the bag to the cashier who is very friendly and asked how our day was. When you pay you are given a funny name for your table marker so they can find you later when your order is ready.

The burgers were absolutely tasty and the outside patio on offer was lovely to sit in. Absolutely recommend you stop in to have a delicious burger and fries. There is nothing like Bob’s atomic!

Went here for lunch today while visiting Golden & really enjoyed it. Old-school “hole in the wall” feeling when you walk through the doors. 80s/90s punk-style wall art, semi-loud music, working-class folks sitting down having lunch, college-age kids running the show. We arrived just before Noon on a Tuesday (hoping to beat the lunch rush) and every table was full. You place your order by using a pencil to fill out a pre-stickered burger sleeve & taking it up to the counter. Me and my lady got a double cheeseburger on white bread with pepper jack cheese, LTO, pickles & jalapeños w/ a large fry. By the time our food came out, a table had opened up. Burger was cooked perfectly, bun was buttery without being too soggy, lettuce was fresh, tomato was fresh, onion was fresh… cheese was melted nicely. Pickles were excellent. Jalapeños are fresh — not pickled — so be prepared for heat. The fries are very good as well, being nice and crispy and arriving piping hot. There was a house-made spicy BBQ sauce which we didn’t care for too much. Pricing was a bit on the high side in my opinion ($16 for burger, $1.25 for cheese, $4.50 for fries) but nothing egregious. There are some pretty cool views of the Coors factory from the restaurant as well. Overall I’d say it’s worth a stop if you’re in the area and craving a burger.

No frills quirky burger place with good food. It’s pricey for what you get but tasty. This is not gourmet and most of the things are à la cart and it adds up fast but boy is it tasty. Right across from the Coors factory. Not a lot of seating when busy but I’d go back. They take credit cards and have parking around them no problem. They do burgers and not much else.
