It was the first of a few nice spring day pump-fakes before another month or 2 of winter weather, so I dusted off my linen button down after a lengthy winter hibernation.
Bobby’s is right across the street from my apartment, so I poked my head out of our window to see the Bobby’s big glass paned windows wide open to the street, sun shining directly on the patio. If you live in New York, you know when bar windows are open to the street after a long winter, the collective energy of the city is about to be ELECTRIC. The city comes alive.
I texted my big bro and he came to meet me here. We were sipping on Spritz’s while watching March Madness games on the projector screens that they have as Bobby’s is tailor made to watch a game, and it rarely gets overrun with people.
To order, you scan a QR code and they bring your drinks right to your table, which is a nice touch. You don’t have to be that guy and make everybody move to go get a drink. You can just move in silence like the g in lasagna.
I was nervous what big bro would think of this place, because he is hella picky with his sports bars. When we sat there getting ready to leave, he said “Aye. Good pick lil cuzzo this place is smooth…” But what I heard was “I’m proud of you…”
A big bro compliment like that, my dear reader, is something you simply can’t put a price on. THANK YOU BOBBY’S!

This place is AMAZING! I grew up in New Mexico, and they have such amazing authentic New Mexican food with Hatch chile. The queso , nachos .
The bar is impeccable. Soooo clean. And so convenient to sit at a table, use the QR code and have your food and drinks brought straight to you.
And to top it off, the music is great and we ended the night at the bar with all of us singing Justin Bieber’s Beauty & the Beat! A great time.

Spend some time in Bobby’s night out with my son in law a few nights over the last week. Bartenders are very friendly and honest the service is great can get a little crazy when there’s an important football game on. The food is good, it arrived hot and fresh. I’m not a drinker so I deal with NA things mostly but it was interesting to see how many people drink all day and then insist they had two beers. Quite amusing and the bartenders seem to take it in stride. From New York originally live in DC now but I recommend this bar highly I send a great many of my friends from DC there.
