Love Bobby Van’s in Bridgehampton. This is one of the only places worth going out to dinner in town, especially in the winter. Good value for money (especially for a steakhouse).

Got the steak salad for main. It comes with a great portion of meat on it and I really like the combo with blue cheese. This is a salad that actually leaves you full at the end.

The chocolate soufflé was also a very nice ending to the meal. It is a special so they might not have it.

Overall nice atmosphere. Pretty chill for a steakhouse they even have some monitors to show big games.

Not expensive considering the location. Steak was cooked correctly to order. Steak sauce needs cleaner ingredients. Linguine with shellfish was the star of the show. Seating available on the sidewalk and indoors. Make a reservation if it is during the busy season (Memorial Day-Labor Day).

Disappointing experience for the price.
We’ve dined here before during the summer and truly enjoyed it, but this visit was a major letdown. The broccoli arrived nearly raw, the porterhouse was dry, flavorless, and burnt on the outside, and even the mac and cheese lacked any taste. When we shared our concerns with the manager, she assured us she would take 50% off the porterhouse — yet we were still charged the full price, leaving us with a bill of nearly $500. For that amount, both food and service should be flawless. Sadly, neither lived up to the standard. Not worth it — there are far better dining options for this price point.

Bobby Van’s Steakhouse has been a staple for over 20 years, and the food consistently meets high standards. While the quality of the meals is reliable, the service leaves much to be desired, as servers can come across as rude or unfriendly. On a positive note, the busboys stand out for their efficiency and pleasant demeanor, adding a touch of warmth to the dining experience. Overall, it’s a mixed bag: great food but lacking in hospitality.

Overall had a nice atmosphere. Nothing extremely fancy but still cozy. The service was amazing and our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the dishes and drink options. The food was alright, the meats we ordered were slightly overdone and the creamed spinach was slightly sweet. Our oysters were fresh and the soup of the day was our favorite dish along with the chocolate ganache for dessert.

Last week we dined at Bobby Van’s for restaurant week dinner. It was excellent!
Loved escargot and baked clams as appetizers. Escargot was better than ones I had in Paris!
My husband’s steak was excellent.
I ordered special fish which was Icelandic Cod. Wow, it was out of this world!!! Fish was firm, but flaky and cooked perfectly with quinoa & vegetables. Loved texture and flavor. Portion was big on every dish.

Host, waiter and bus staff were all friendly and professional.
We’ve been to ones in the city and the airport locations, but now this will be our favorite spot in the Hampton.

We came back for a quick bite at the bar this week. Happy Hour deal was incredible. We had oysters (which was so fresh), Kobe beef sliders, lobster roll sliders and steak quesadillas. Beer, wine and cocktail options are excellent!
We really enjoyed dining at Bobby Van’s and will definitely come back soon.

Big serving portion. I like the whole fluke and mushroom side. Just Fluke fish is a little plain to me. The crab salad dressing is too sweet for me and the fried bacon and cracker are not healthy for me. Baby rib tastes good. I like the spinach is USDA certified organic. I like the banana split desert with chocolate ice cream. Overall good but not great

Was excited to have a great meal with my family. BV has always been an easy choice for us. Last night was unfortunate. Best way to describe it is have you ever felt like the odd one out or forgotten at a restaurant? Everyone is having a marvelous time but you’re invisible? That was me. Drink order never came. Twice. Bread plate, water. 2-3 times asked. Bread, 3 times asked. Salad came before any of the before mentioned. Then I was brought a bowl full of mushrooms and carrots as my entree. I had ordered the parpadelle bolognese. The waiter said “yeah, they substituted that dish on the Prix fix tonight. This is vegan/vegetarian. They didn’t tell me” Um, okkaayyy. I don’t want this. So he said they could make me something else. Without rereading the menu I just said a ribeye with mashed potatoes. A few minutes later, a charred (not in an edible way) thing arrived. No fat cap on the ribeye! Must have been something they weren’t planning on serving. The couple bites I took were crunchy with char and shoe leather. The potatoes were literally boiled, whipped and thrown in a little bowl with not even salt. Inedible. I finally got my drink- a raspberry margarita. It was a beige drink in a bourbon glass. No salt/ sugar rim or garnish. All very sad. But I was surely charged full price for all of it. In the end, no one’s meal was as good as or better than home cooked. For all 8 of us to not be dazzled, it’s not something we’re willing to repeat.

My love and I chose to celebrate our 9 year anniversary at Bobby Van’s tonight and what a phenomenal evening it was, we started with the shrimp cocktail, the nova scotia lobster cocktail, PEI mussles, and the baked clams. He had the linguine for his main and I had the 18oz bone in sirloin which was cooked to a beautiful medium rare! The portions are incredibly generous so either show up with an empty stomach or be prepared to take food home (which we did) The food was absolutely delicious, our waiter was incredibly attentive as were the busboys, and the atmosphere was welcoming and intimate. We left there tonight deciding that from now on, this will be where we celebrate our anniversary for the years to come.

Thank you so much again for a wonderful night ❤️

Fantastic food and top notch service. Something on the menu no matter your craving, and guaranteed to be delicious. Best French Dip I have had in years. The chicken pot pie, bolognese, steak, and just about everything I have had has hit the spot.
