Food was so so good. Got the Louisiana ribs and the 14 oz smoked prime rib. The ribs were falling off the bone because they were so tender, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese and loaded potato were our favorite sides. Prices were 100% reasonable for the portion sizes and quality!
We also got the Mai Tai and the Spa Day to drink, those were a great addition to our meals.
Atmosphere was also great! The ambience was very cozy and intimate, which we loved. Will definitely be back again!

We came here because the reviews were great, but our experience was a bit disappointing. For the price we paid, we expected the macaroni to be made with real cheese. Instead, it tasted like processed Velveeta-style cheese, which wasn’t what we were hoping for. The broccoli also seemed like it had been previously frozen and possibly frostbitten. Our food came out in under 10 minutes which felt like cafeteria food.
On a positive note, the potato soup was good. The cornbread was delicious, it was buttery and soft, with the right amount of sweetness. Our waiter was also very kind.

This restaurant is really nice, but a lot smaller than their Phoenix location near Interstate 17. Our waitress Jeannie was nice and very attentive to our needs. It wasn’t at all crowded when we visited, and the food was delicious as expected. I love the consistency of flavor and taste between this location and the Phoenix location near Interstate 17. If you are in the metro Phoenix AZ area, you haven’t had Barbecue until you’ve tried Bobby-Q’s .

We were in town for a conference and heard a lot about this place and thought we would stop in. The brisket was amazing! It was so tender it just fell apart upon touching it was the fork. You did not need a knife. The service was amazing. She kept coming back and asking us how things were and if we needed anything and then came back and refilled our drinks. The place was a little loud but that was to be expected on a Friday night. Would come back here again next time we are in town.

All in all, the barbeque was just average. I had the two-meat platter with brisket and baby back ribs and a baked potato and roasted corn for my sides. The corn was flavorless, but the baked potato was good. The brisket was from the lean part, and it was a little dry, not juicy at all. There was only a slice and a half, the rest of it was already broken up. The bark didn’t have much flavor either. But adding a little of the barbecue sauce picked things up. The ribs were ok, they had a decent flavor and again, adding a little of the sauce made them better. I’ve been fortunate enough to have recently tried some phenomenal barbecue (it was almost a religious experience) and unfortunately, Bobby-Q was not in that league. On a different note, the interior was nice and the service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Also, there was a good amount of food for the price.

Never ever heard of this restaurant in Phoenix but it was absolutely delicious
I ordered the brisket sandwich and a loaded baked potato. It was like taking a bite of Heaven! The mac and cheese was cream good. I ordered a Pepsi and since they didn’t already have cherry Pepsi, our server said he would make one. It was delicious too!
He was attentive, polite, accommodating and handsome to boot!
The bill was reasonable but can be $$for depending on what you order! If the other meats are as delicious as the brisket you’ll be in heaven too!

I can’t say enough good things about Bobby-Q BBQ! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch—friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And the food? Absolutely incredible. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs were perfectly seasoned, and the sides were just as impressive. If you’re looking for amazing BBQ with even better service, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

We got the BBQ egg roll things, which was super good and set our expectations too high. My husband’s bun was stale, the soda was flat and didn’t ever get refilled. The pecans were old in the coleslaw. But the meat was good and so was the service. Very mixed experience.

My family chose to have Father’s Day dinner here. The food was delicious! The service was good! When my wife told me that this was a fancy BBQ place, I thought to myself ” how do you make BBQ fancy?”. But this was exactly that! We had the spinach artichoke dip and fried zucchini as a starter. The dip was creamy and delicious! The fried zucchini had a cornbread breading on it, which made it crispy! And OMG!… Their table bread is a sweet cornbread cake that we couldn’t get enough of! I probably ate 3 of them myself! For an entree, I had the beef ribs. Honestly, they could have been a little more meaty and a little more caramelized, but they still were fall off the bone delicious. My wife had rib tips and they too were fall off the bone delicious! My oldest daughter had brisket tacos. They were so big and packed with brisket that My daughter could only eat one of them! (Although, the cornbread cakes may have had something to do with that). My youngest daughter had a 10 oz sirloin steak! It was cooked perfectly and the cut was very tender! The server was very thoughtful and kept our drinks full! To top everything off, they give you a bag of fresh cooked donuts to go! They were SO good!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!
