Chicken cheese steak sub was so good. The bread was crispy, meat was stacked, inside was cheesy. Was about 34 for two subs and a large fry. Definitely the best sub I’ve had.

Absolutely phenomenal place. Small and simple. I had the Bobby. Best cheesesteak ive ever had. My wife had the Pilgrim and really enjoyed it and our daughter the cheesburger. During my recent visit to Bobby Bays Sandwich Shop in Mount Joy, I ordered their chicken cheesesteak along with a side of fresh-cut fries — and I was not disappointed! The chicken was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the melted cheese, & spicy mayo, all tucked inside a soft, fresh roll. The fresh-cut fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right — a great classic pairing with the sandwich.
The atmosphere was inviting, but I’d give it four stars mainly due to the limited indoor seating. It’s a cozy space, ideal for a quick bite, but it could get crowded during peak times. Overall, Bobby Bays delivers quality food that’s clearly made with care, and I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

The owner really hyped this place up, so I thought the cheesesteak would be awesome, but wow, was I wrong. I walked in and the kid at the counter had zero customer service skills and looked totally miserable. I honestly felt like I was bothering him. The vibe was like Five Guys, but without the good service. I went ahead and ordered a Cali cheesesteak and sat down.
The same guy who took my order brought my food and just chucked it on my table… it literally slid towards me! The cheesesteak was kinda small and served on what looked like that “pizza dough” roll a lot of local places use, which I don’t mind, but this place totally downplays it in their ads. The meat was good but needed more seasoning. The worst part was the bread was tough, and when I bit into it, everything just fell out.
I also ordered fries which seemed to have been cooked in old oil. At that point I decided that was it for me. I finished my food and threw in my towel for finding good cheesesteaks any more. You either get a good size sandwich with cheap soy added meat or you get good meat with a bad roll and hyped up pricing.
Chessesteaks were never meant to be a high dollar item, especially in Lancaster county!

I got the Bobby cheesesteak and loaded fries and boy oh boy were they both great! I’m someone that can eat a lot, but I was full after the cheesesteak and half of the fries. So I would most definitely say that you get good sized portions. I’ll most definitely be back!

Locally owned small business putting out amazing sandwiches. The bread is just the right chew, the meat is high quality and piled high, and service is quick.
Only have 10” (unless I’m mistaken) and it’s a *bit* pricier than what you might before even a side or a drink but you can literally see the quality of ingredients in the sandwiches and they aren’t skimping.
Highly recommend for a lunch out and they have another location on the other side of the city!
Definitely try out the Big Vito if you’re a fan of spicy Italians.

I really wanted to like this place. I got the “Bobby” cheesesteak and it was one of the fattiest sandwiches I ever had. I understand they don’t trim all the fat, which is fine, but this was unacceptable. The bread was good though. It’s a shame since I was excited to see this location open since it’s much closer to me.

Take out place. Meat was delicious. I’m not a fan of the rolls. Tasted like a burnt croissant to me, but I am not a fan of most of the Lancaster County home made bread.

I’m staying at the hotel right next to the restaurant, so I decided to try this place. I’m so glad I did! The caprese sandwich I had was phenomenal. The bread is absolutely delicious and very fresh. The ingredients were delicious. The fries were great, too! I wish we had a place like this where I live!!

Found these guys from Instagram, this isn’t their main location but id say 4/5 alot of hype, but worth trying. Being from Baltimore originally I find that the sub shops in this area are mostly sub par compared to what im used to. Got the “Turk” and loaded fries asked for extra mayo so dont panic based on my pic haha, they gave me exactly what i asked for. Overall, the sub was middle of the road, but granted its not at all what i know them for. Definitely worth a second visit and will try the cheesesteak next time as people rave about that. Fries were really good and not soggy after driving home with good portion size.
