I’ve been going to eat at Bobbi’s since I worked as a grocery bagger at Hughes (now Ralph’s) market on my lunch breaks. The food is just as good today as it was in 1992…which is why they are still around to this day. Expertly crafted asada and Tri tip burritos and tacos are my go to every time. Often overlooked are the beans and rice which are velvety smooth and tasty. Pairing perfectly with their perfectly spiced meat offerings. I live out of state now, but come back to visit family a few times a year and Bobbi’s is always the first or second stop on our culinary tour of SoCal. I’ve taken my son who is 18 to eat here and he also agrees that Bobbi’s is .

Are you kidding me?! This is a “chile verde” burrito. It’s not Verde nor is there chile. This is a damn rice burrito for 12 bucks!! AND charging for chips because I wanted salsa?!! I’m done here.

We really like Bobbi’s ground beef tacos and we get them sometimes once a week and I can barely finish 1 and at 2 I’m pushing it because they’re normally huge. Tonight the tacos we got for takeout were so sparse with ground beef there was literally a tablespoon of ground beef in each taco with a ton of lettuce and a ton of cheese. Six very small, practically meatless tacos for $30. I don’t know why the QC has gone down but I hope I never get another small chintzy taco from Bobbi’s again because after three tacos tonight I’m still starving. I will give them one more chance.

I went here because someone recommended it compared to my favorite place. My comparison venue is Johnnie’s Mexican food on Ventura Avenue in Ventura.
I found the chili verde burrito to be much less tasty than the Johnnie’s equivalent. The Johnnie’s salsa is the complement that completes their burrito. The Bobbi’s chilled red salsas -I got medium – added more spice than flavor. Bobbie’s offers mild, medium and hot red salsas but they prepared ahead of time from blendered ingredients and then refrigerated rather than Johnnie’s salsas that are served at the time of ordering. The Bobbie’s burrito seemed to have more rice than beans instead of the relatively even proportions at Johnnie’s.

3.5 Stars. Nice casual atmosphere ✅ Service was awesome! ✅ Did not hesitate to help you with the menu. I ordered a chicken burrito (wet) and it had great flavor with being a good size portion. Enough to split with another person I think. But to me the sauce, even though it had great flavor as well, seemed to have somewhat a gummy texture to it. Ordered the chips and salsa. The salsa was spicy and good! But unfortunately didn’t like the chips. They were heavy and thick. To me, seemed like they were stale. Had just a couple and left the rest. If they were change up the sauce and offer fresh lighter chips, I’d would rate it 5 stars.

Really solid Spanish place! The tortilla was warm and soft, the fillings were well-seasoned, and everything tasted freshly prepared. I love how they make the rice, just the way I like it. Try them.

The food here is geared toward a palette that is not Mexican. That was reflected in the clientele as well as the unseasoned food. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a Mexican restaurant, as a Latina. If you’re looking for good Mexican food where people won’t look at you sideways for speaking Spanish, go somewhere else.

The food is amazing. The chicken is simmered in gravy and tastes incredible. Everything here is awesome, you can’t go wrong.

When I worked in Camarillo, I used to go Bobbi’s everyday. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. Wish I still worked in Camarillo just to eat there!

Nothing really stands out about this location aside from a confusing menu with mislabeled/understood items; their chili Verde is pork chili Colorado, but they insisted it was correct. The customers right after me had the same issue. If you’re going to stop by go for a breakfast burrito.
