We’re Bob & Ringo’s Grill & Smokehouse, and we’ve been a premier barbecue restaurant here in Pontiac, IL, since 2021. Our menu includes a variety of home-style items made to order, offering hand-ground burgers, hand-cut fries, and smoked barbecue. We started this business to provide our community with a family-friendly restaurant and event center for parties and celebrations with exceptional catering services. We’re looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Pontiac and the surrounding areas. We’d like to personally invite you to stop in today for delicious ribs, wings, pulled pork, salads, brisket, and so much more!

This place has one of the best briskets at a restaurant I’ve had. The pulled pork was good as well and the garlic parmesan fries and mac and cheese were really good! Great place to eat and they also have outdoor seating but you have to ask for it. Not the best view but its covered and if you want outdoor weather than you have it to enjoy your meal.

Bob and Ringos has a calm inviting atmosphere. The workers were attentive and very courteous. The food, as always fantastic, being both visually appealing and tasty in large quantities for the amount you pay. We will be coming back again. The burnt ends are delicious.

The quality of the food, particularly the delicious loaded baked potato with added blackened chicken, was satisfactory. However, it is regrettable that the service experienced during our visit was exceedingly sluggish. The burnt ends, although flavorful, were marred by an excessive amount of fat. Despite the food’s merits, the overall disappointment in service hampers our enthusiasm for a return visit. We firmly believe in the value of our hard-earned money and expect establishments to show appreciation for their patrons.

Overall a good atmosphere blending modern and rustic, and definitely had a small town feel. Food was very tasty, although somewhat pricey for the portion sizes. Glad we stopped here on our day trip to Pontiac!

Excellent service, delicious food and reasonable prices. We had the best brisket we have ever eaten. Our son had the steak horseshoe and said it was amazing.

Super staff, everyone was really friendly. The wings were baked and very tasty. Pulled pork too was quite good. Very cool atmosphere inside the bar and restaurant.

I went into the bar because the bar looks more like a restaurant than the restaurant does. It is actually attached to the bar. Has its own door but its one of them old bar/private club entrances. You know the ones our parents would go in for several hours and come out different. The atmosphere was chaotic because you could hear the bar and there was a lot of people in the bar and it’s also very claustrophobic , because it is in a small side portion of the bar. And it also resembles the bar as they have 6 TV screens playing sports, and of course, like all bars, they’ve got them on mute without the subtitles on. So you just gotta learn to lip , read , I guess. I don’t know.I honestly couldn’t call it high class in any way.Shape or form.I couldn’t even call it middle or low class.I would call it trash class

This is a regular spot for us locals. I’ve always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere is fun. They have darts and pool tables available and even have a space you can rent out for parties.

This is a bizarre place with an identity crisis. Grill and Smokehouse is in the name, but half the place is dedicated to gambling machines and bar games. The “smokehouse” options are fairly limited, and don’t offer up some of the typically expected dinner plates you expect of a smokehouse. I got burnt ends (which comes with JUST the burnt ends), and most of the pieces didn’t seem to be true burnt ends. Instead just slabs of smoked brisket that might’ve been seared. Overall, very greasy. The plate was swimming in grease. Sweet potato fries tasted frozen. Smoked beans were okay.
They have nothing on draft. 1.5 hours from one of the biggest brewery cities in the US and they have nothing on draft. I wasn’t even given a drink menu. But they have a giant bar on one side of the place. Very bizarre. Is this a quick eats place where you go to drink? Or is this a smoker restaurant with a bar? Who knows.
Despite 4-5 servers standing around near the kitchen and few people in the building, we had multiple different servers attend to us. 25 minutes into dinner we had the check given to us. But even though tons of servers were standing around, we were expected to pay on the Toast POS site (which didn’t work), and when we mentioned it didn’t work, they said “Oh yeah it’s been acting up.”
The owner needs to figure out what kind of place he’s running.

This place is a hidden gem! The pulled pork nachos were great, good portion for sharing, the mac and cheese is solid, very creamy, a little peppery. The bartender was nice, the server was nice, prices were reasonable. They have a good selection of bottled beer, and the bartender made a good whiskey sour.
