My boyfriend and I stopped in after a trip to Frankenmuth. Celebrating Valentine’s a day early and this was our meal out together. We’ve only had Bob Evans two other times as it’s kind of out of our way, but it was a great experience. Promptly seated and greeted, managers present. Drinks were serves in the first 2 minutes. I got the sweet tea and it’s such a rare thing to find exceptionally good sweet tea up north I’ve found. I’m from NC, so it just made my day. Little taste of home with every sip. I got the chicken tender platter with mashed potatoes and corn. Obsessed with Bob Evans mashed potatoes. We buy their brand from the store every so often and it’s always a favorite. The corn was sweet and buttery. Really exceptional service. Our server was lighthearted and kind, made such a welcoming environment. I work in the food industry as well so I always appreciate a great meal out!

You can eat everything but nothing ever says wow. The waitress was quick but while she tried to be funny, she was actually kind of annoying. I thought at first she knew my wife or my dad, they had no idea who she was. She was heckling them like old friends, not cool. Always clean and plenty of comfortable seating.

Not our best meal…beef veg soup was grey and squishy. A few days old, I’d say. BLT was odd; three huge slices of tomato, enough lettuce for a salad, and about 2 half-slices of bacon. Hmmm. Tony’s across the street gives you a half pound BLT, I’ve heard. Service was good, but we will def go back to our local spots next time.

By far the worst Bob Evans(#279)we have ever been in. The bathrooms were nasty and as we walked in, the woman told her manager she had cleaned them, but he never went to check. Water and waste, (human) were all over the toilets, my wife told me of the female bedroom. The men’s room was a water wonderland. The counter to the floor, not just a moped look, but a flood look. The food… the fried fish sandwich, can you say greasy and no sauce at all? The sandwich had a bad taste that the ruined meal. The waitress said they had removed the dish from the bill, but in fact, they did not, unless my plate of eggs cost $27.00. What a bad memory… We will not be stopping by Bod Evans in Birch Run MI. again unless changes are made.

When craving biscuits and gravy, Bob Evans is the place to go. Their link sausage and bacon are excellent, too. Yummy breakfast selections. Sandwiches are fulfillingly hearty. Fresh salad options. Best chicken noodle soup I’ve eaten in a restaurant. I’ve enjoyed every meal from Bob! Birch Run Bob Evans is my go-to place for a warm and friendly atmosphere with great conversations. Service is spectacular! Food is delicious and easy on the budget.

The food was good, the wait for the food was not so good. Waitress was slow, forgot items from our order and never refilled our empty drinks….she stated she was new, but she did seem like she was trying very hard and she was nice. Restaurant was an hour and half to closing, employees seemed more concerned about doing closing tasks and cleaning than about serving their very few customers they had. Had a hard time choosing what to order as there was a lot of delicious sounding options on the menu. I’ll go back again, but probably earlier in the day for a better overall service.

Whenever we head up north my wife and I hit this Bob Evan’s on the way. We are always seated promptly. The food comes out quickly and is of good quality. Our last server, Gerald, was very friendly. He understood that Birch Run isn’t doctors and hospitals and that food service isn’t a game.
