This is my second time to Bob Evans. I came back because the first time I had dinner here with my friends, the foods were great, and the price was really affordable.
For my second visit, it was lunch time on Sunday. So we had to wait for 30 mins for the food to come. If this is not an issue, I think everything else about Bob Evans is amazing! The food quality is consistent imho. The banana cake is really lovely!
I have read a few negative reviews. I would say that it is still worth it to give Bob Evans in Athens a try!

I came here around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, and the restaurant was still busy. I loved the cozy and warm ambiance. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as dessert, all at affordable prices. It’s a great place for dining with friends and family.

Ordered food for me and my family service was amazing. Sadly food was awfull. Hash browns were severely undercooked and our sausage was pink!! Im leaving a two star because our waitress was very kind and on point but that was it. If your hungry please save your money and pass this place up!

Absolutely loved my breakfast. Any time you can cook bacon to where you able to eat the fat and not realize, that is perfect. Potatos were nice and hot and my eggs were perfect. But that’s not why I am writing this. I have been having a rough few days. But the kindness and warm from my server melted it away. If you stop by, ask for Eliajah’s section. I definitely will.

After having the Flu and not eating for days I placed a simple order of 1 entree (steak tip omelet) and a side (fried pickles) online @10am for pickup @1030. After arriving early I called at the receiving time and was told to wait for a bit and it would be right out. I waited for 15 more minutes before calling again not wanting to expose staff elderly or children to my illness. At that time I was told my order was given to another person by mistake. Regardless of name similarities which they pronounced wrong and is not common at all. I was told they would refire the order and waited another 15 to 20 minutes until the breakfast rush was essentially over. Ms Nevada (who was a sweetheart and is not included in this unless positively) brought out a bag of food with a small sprite which I assumed was an apology do to how physically bad I was feeling and the wait. I drove all the way home and learned that they gave me a family of 4s food and a small girls pancakes. The amount of frustration I feel knowing that little girl didn’t get her pancakes simply because the expo or manager doesn’t check the tickets is astounding and almost brought me to tears. It creates massive pressure on staff the back of the house to refire food and the companys bottom line for simply not reading the tickets. I could be grumpy because I’m still very sick but I do feel bad for that little girl and her families meal I took.

The biscuits were burnt which made for a very dry biscuits and gravy! I could not even eat it all Bc it was so dry! I paid for two rolls. I received ZERO rolls! I ordered hot cakes with bacon! I got no bacon, I got a cold piece of ham!

I would just avoid this location at all cost. The greeting when we arrived should have told us to leave but we did eventually get seated unfortunately. The waitress was not good. They had no iced tea. We were there 2 hours when it was all done. The place was probably 60- 70% empty so it was not super busy. The food came out like it had been sitting for a while… I never saw anybody that looked like a manager. I’m guessing if there was a manager in the building they were hiding in the office instead of helping..It was overall a very bad experience and again I would suggest you avoid this location for sure. I’m giving 2 stars since we did eat the food.

Atmosphere is great, very cozy. The service was a little slow, had to flag them down for coffee refills. The vegetable beef soup was very bland, really lacking in seasoning. Toilet in the ladies handicap stall was constantly running. I had to take the lid off the tank to make it flush. Told staff but they shrugged it off. I would eat here again, though, because it is so convenient, and the decor is inviting. Great coffee.

Did an online order and was sitting outside in my car waiting to pick up. My daughter went inside and stood at the counter attempting to pick up the order and NO ONE approached her. She said she felt uncomfortable and so she came back to the car. I called in and the food still took about 15 minutes or so (a very simple order) and was spilling all over the inside of the bag when I opened the bag. I have worked at a Bob Evans and frequent many when I go home (Ohio). I would not recommend this one to anyone. I even emailed a review and heard nothing back.

Well, really not much to brag about.
The server was very polite and friendly but that is about as far as I’m willing to go.
First, isn’t Handicap parking supposed to be closer to the entrance? Maybe not clear around the corner of the entrance.
The food took a tremendous amount of time to get to the table. Portions seemed extremely small. No butter served with the pancakes. The thing that baffled me the most, they were out of white milk. How in the world do you run out of milk in a restaurant such as this? If I were the manager, out of white milk go down the damn street and buy a couple of gallons….
