A cozy and family-friendly spot for classic American comfort food. The service at Bob Evans Powell is warm and attentive, and the food comes out fairly quickly. The menu has a good variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — perfect for both adults and young children. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with plenty of seating. I visited Bob Evans on 2/22/26 to celebrate my Brother’s birthday with Mom. Julia, our server was a sweetheart and provided awesome service! My Brother wanted to substitute for the ham for his order, but he was informed the manager, ‘Shawn’ could not allow any changes for that particular meal. OK. I was a little annoyed, especially since my Brother mentioned any other location didn’t have a problem with the change with his order.
I feel like this young manager was just on a power trip. Bottom line, if a customer has a special request, the restaurant needs to fulfill the request! This wasn’t unreasonable and should never had been an issue. I decided to leave a review instead of being the angry guy on a Sunday morning. To the manager ‘Shawn’, you need to do better for future customers.

I would first like to say I only came because I received a gift card for Christmas.
I got so frustrated that I stopped taking photos. This visit was a near disaster. As you can see our “piggy” pancakes were made by someone who has never seen a pig. (To a 4 year old it was disappointing and she even pointed to the menu to show me how wrong it was)
The avocado chicken was in edible as the chicken was so scalded on the bottom it was hard to even cut through. Hashbrowns were over done and greasy. We also ordered a special dish bbq beef mac and cheese or something like that and the mac and cheese was ice cold. Heard the waitress mutter under her breath a few times, I would call her out on it but there was no name tag.
I will probably never return to a Bob Evan’s. The restaurant has fallen so much in the past ten years and it is now on my not going list.

Actually the worst service I’ve had in my life. It took forever to get seated and even longer to get served. One employee hit my friend in the face with a door and didn’t say anything. Our waiter complained about us asking for a to go drink, called my other friend fat for asking for a refill, and then told us to “not forget about” him when we went to checkout.

This absolutely the worst Bob Evans. Walked in with 1 party ahead of me, no greeting no hostess, nothing. Took about 15 minutes to sit the first party and then ignored everyone else. I walked up to see if I could seat myself and was told they would be with me. The restaurant is dirty and really needs better management.

Walked in for a carryout order recieved no greeting at all for about 10 minutes while workers behind the counter seemed to have free time and not be doing anything at all. Another gentleman walks in for a order and was greeted immediately asked for who he was there for and walked away from me. Mind you im the one at the actual register he’s just off on the side… really? I don’t like to assume that lesser treatment is given to black people but it’s like.. 4 of yall turned and saw me and did nothing but a white guy comes in and is rushed over too. I say somthing like um hello? And the response was kind of like ugh who are you picking up for? .. I get you might not like black people but can atleast show some respect im just picking up an order being treated like crap for no reason is just.. I’ll never do buisness here.

We use to always get a take out fork tender pot roast dinner but they have been getting worse. The last time we were given biscuits that were so hard you could hammer a nail with them. We called and explained to the manager who only said ” I will check on it” and than hung up. NEVER WILL WE VISIT OR ORDER FROM THE POWELL LOCATION AGAIN.

Walked in 10:50 am on a Sunday was greeted and sat immediately. Then we were ignored for next 12 to 15 min. Waiter walked by us over 10 times never asked us for drinks or anything. They had him waiting on probably 15 tables which is way to many for him because I heard him talking to himself trying to figure out who asked him for coffee. The manager was doing a great job standing behind server wall doing nothing to help an overwhelmed waiter.

Love this place so much! What a great atmosphere, friendly servers, incredible selection as far as the menu. I really like the farmhouse feel, even their shirts are amazing! Something on the menu for everyone in your group. Highly recommend!
